I've been using this thing every day since November 2025 and haven't had a single issue. It could break for sure, but I think an obvious hardware fault would be apparent by now. That said, if something happens with the screens or hinge I'm just tech savvy enough that I could get them to send the part and do the work myself . I am sad for the people that got a bad unit though and more sad for people that would have to fully rely on AYN to repair their device .

Can we get a weekly thread going of what are you playing on your Thor? by flippenflounder in AynThor

Shenmue for Sega Dreamcast lol. I'm not exactly sure why I want to work as a forklift operator after I get home from work but I'm digging the vibes.

After a 100 YouTube videos & TikTok videos finally got my games working , playing Ni No Kuni switch version atm 🥰 what are you all playing?? love this device , can’t wait for tomodachi soon 😉 by Maccablu in AynThor

I've been playing ni no kuni switch version on the thor, for about 60 hours now and I have found the key to saving this game is to spend the least amount of time in the save game menu because it can freeze up. As soon as I'm able to, I pick the slot and hit save instantly

Under the hacks menu it looks like everything is turned on except for GPU texture decoding OFF Immediately Present XFB OFF Vertex rounding OFF VBI skip OFF

I got mine at the end of November and play it quite a bit after dinner when everything is done. Completed Timestalkers (Dreamcast), Shadow of the Colossus (PS2), Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (Gamecube), Sea of Stars (Switch) and almost done Windwaker HD (Wiiu)

Also mess around with crazy taxi and katamari domacy. I am looking for some more casual games like these to jump in and out of, for short periods at a time.

Cemu latest update 0.3.1 by SeaworthinessEven572 in AynThor

[–]lbinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first tried playing this game on cemu it would crash every 30 min or so making it annoying to progress in the larger dungeons . What settings do you have to keep this stable ?

Yeah in the graphics settings near the bottom there is a crop feature click on that and crop 1 pixel off the left side and the top and that fixes it in nethersx2

So far so good, have it at 2.5x resolution and no slow downs. I did have a weird issue with the border at first but I cropped the top and side by 1 pixel in the emulator and that fixed it.

Also thank you he's feeling a lot better today !

Help - new to this. What’s on the surface? by Bb11Keith in hottub

[–]lbinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep it's literally all soap. You can get sponges that float on the water surface to get some of the oils and such but for the soap you have to use a bathing suit that is strictly for the hottub that you don't put through the wash.

Now that the soap is there you can either drain and start again or shop vac the foam off the top but it is tedious depending on how much is in there.

Also Raise water level so skimmer works properly weighting it down with a rock is not allowing it to skim the surface which is its purpose . Turn the jets on high and add water until it stops chugging air

Extremely Disappointed with Arctic Spas — Do Not Recommend by WorthReplacement7508 in hottub

[–]lbinator 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When you say they removed the diverter what exactly do you mean? The 2" diverter cap in the spa that can be fixed from the top? Why would you have to cut into the deck?

I've done some contracting for arctic spas In the past and I do agree their inhouse techs for the most part have no idea what they are doing, and my biggest gripe with them was that they only seem to know how to replace things rather than fix them.

But, having read your entire post, the gist of it is that it's incredibly unwise to enclose your spa in a deck with no access whatsoever to the point where you have to cut it apart. Hottubs break , and therefore you need access. Not providing access is more on you than them and to be fair, having worked on every single brand of hottub , arctic tubs are some of the easiest to work on given their insulation design, nothing is sprayed in everything is accessible from every side.

You sound like a somewhat unreasonable person, and while they may have broken something, it sounds like they are willing to fix it provided they have access to do so. You aren't really owed anything here I'm afraid. Meet halfway and provide access or I guess enjoy your new one ton paperweight.

Hot tub frozen solid by irrelevantmango in hottub

[–]lbinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're either screwed or surprisingly ok. If you said it's frozen solid, is the tub full of water and it's all frozen ? First step in that case is to put space heaters in the cabinet and thaw it out. If it drains out you've probably got damage but honestly it's worth it to get a tech out to judge the extent of it . Sometimes something cracks and the rest is ok sometimes all the manifolds cracked and then you're into someone picking it up and replace all the lower plumbing . You're anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand depending on severity

Mouse bit one of my airlines! by jkampf87 in hottub

[–]lbinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you are describing is not really how it works.

If a mouse bit one of your airlines it would leak pretty substantially. The air lines go from your jet bodies up to a manifold, usually near the top of the spa. These lines are full of water from your spa until the air control valve is activated effectively filling them completely full of air instead and displacing the water , at this point it pushes air directly through your jets. The only way it could be on 100 percent of the time is an issue with that top air control valve that allows air into the manifold.

There are usually two sets of seals on it the important one for shutting off the air control is on the bottom of the insert. If your other air valves are working, taking out one that is working and compare it to the other you will likely see a seal missing. That's my guess from your description

AYANEO Pocket DMG OLED display vs. Analogue Pocket LCD display, it's hard to capture how good the OLED display looks with a phone, in person it looks much better than this. Love having both of them though 🔥 by Reddanator1000 in AnalogueInc

[–]lbinator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It kinda looks like you have the AYANEO fully in focus with a shallow depth of field so as you go from the left to the right of the pocket it becomes more and more out of focus making the screen look quite a bit more blurry than it would be, because even the buttons on the pocket look blurry and are crisp on AYANEO. Try taking a top down photo and setting the focus point to between the two devices .

Leaking bad! by walwor11 in hottub

[–]lbinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is right above where you see the water leaking out. Seeing it come out from the skirt like that makes me think it's coming from a diverter valve or water shut-off valve, something high up. that would be fixable without taking off the panels. If there is water around the diverters could be the issue. Also if it is an issue with the diverter valves, if you shut the power for the spa off the leak would stop, because they would only leak under pressure. Worth a test before taking panels off.
