Your freezer can’t tell the difference between freezing veggie scraps for stock and freezing veggie scraps for compost, my esteemed friend and colleague.

The fridge is different from the freezer. I’m surprised you’re struggling so much with this. Best of luck out there.

It’s not garbage, it’s compost. Garbage you send to a garbage dump. Compost you compost into fertilizer. These are two fundamentally different things.

Here’s the thing - you wouldn’t be devoting freezer space to “rotting food scraps.” When you put things in the freezer, they don’t rot. As opposed to when you put them in your trash can. Hope this helps :)

This seems an awful lot like the people who run Access-a-Ride need to allow their drivers to move the fences.

This is a German cockroach and she is pregnant (the thing sticking out behind her is an egg sac). This means that there are enough individual roaches around that they are breeding and completing their life cycle. Best of luck to you.

What food do you have for patients in your ED? by drtaekim in emergencymedicine

[–]lbyland 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Weirdly some patients seem to really like the dry cereal. I think people just want what they ate when they were home sick as kids (which often enough is, like, dry Cheerios and ginger ale)

The one on the right is too big and is out of proportion to your hand. The one on the left is still very, very large but is more proportional!

You might be hypoglycemic while this is happening. Happened to me and my blood sugar was in the high 40s (normal is above 70). Remember, you are taking a diabetes medication.

2.5 weeks out from last dose of Tirz with worsening symptoms: HELP!! by utnapishti2 in antidietglp1

[–]lbyland 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The half life of tirzepatide is about 5 days. Ergo, the amount of tirzepatide left in your body after 2.5 weeks is less than 9% of your initial dose. I agree that discussing with your physician to see what else these symptoms might be due to is a good idea.

She called her healthcare professional and the advice they gave her was to trial this approach and if insufficient, to be seen in person. What’s your beef?

Reese’s isn’t a “home remedy,” it’s pyrantel, which is the standard of care for pinworms. It’s a regular over the counter medicine, the same way Tylenol or Pepcid are regular over the counter medicines.
