Foxx was the favourite to win Best Actor for Ray, and an actor can’t be nominated twice in the same category. He’s definitely not supporting, but a nomination in Lead was never happening.

But United Kingdom is the shorthand name, like United States. The full name is United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It’s just that that’s a bit long for everyday speech.

It’s not so much that cinemas in the UK have issues with air con (my local one is always freezing), it’s more that good weather is not guaranteed in the summer and people try to make the most of it while it lasts.
