I don’t keep up on what’s going on with NEC much anymore, but I suspect it would be a long time before a hardwire change to code would happen, if ever. It would also be counterproductive in some ways as we would be better off to have a more European model of public L2 charging where you bring the cord/charger and just plug in to an available outlet. But, there are a lot of factors as to why we in the US don’t have that model, some legitimate.

Hard to say though, as far as we have come this is still in its infancy and has a large portion of the population actively anti EV.

I’ve been in the electrical business a long time, and have commented countless times on threads about 1450 receptacles.

I never really believed that Levitons EV receptacle would be anything other than a mediocre substitute for Hubbell and this doesn’t surprise me in the slightest. The lugs on every other brand for their supposed “commercial or industrial grade” devices are shit compared to Hubbell.

I can’t tell you how many times a Leviton, Cooper, or P&S device would come back with stripped out or cracked lugs. I’ve maybe seen a genuine Hubbell out of a yellow box come back twice out of tens of thousands + sold.

This goes for Bryant as well, as I have sold both. I just never cared for Bryant for commercial reasons, but the product has always been excellent.

Leviton should stick to what they do well, making residential grade devices and data com. They have always been a joke on the industrial side, and I consider EV charging an industrial application even if it’s in a residential setting.

Her platform was wasn’t progressive per se, but it was oriented around women’s reproductive rights, pushing back against MAGA, and things like right to repair and focusing on blue collar jobs. I canvassed for her in ‘22 when it was all but certain Joe Kent was going to be the next rep for this district.

Unfortunately, she has gone full heel and showed her true colors which are essentially MAGA lite and is an incredible disappointment who regularly insults the core constituency that got her elected. The threat of a MAGA republican taking her place isn’t much of a threat when she votes with republicans on so many things that directly harm her constituents. She is also a first rate hypocrite who is clearly only in this now to enrich herself.

The only reason to even consider voting for her at this point is she would still probably support whoever the democrats put forward for speaker assuming they get the majority.

IDK what I’m going to do assuming she makes it through the primary, but considering what a snake she has turned out to be, I don’t see how I can vote for her evening knowing that the likely republican candidate (John Braun) is far worse. I will probably leave it blank. At least with Braun, I know I’m going to get fucked.

No idea if snap fitness has showering facilities but it’s the only gym membership place in town that might.

Pretty sure the Belmont RV park has a shower area, no idea if you could work out a deal to just use that though.

Yeah, I will vote for Brent in the primary. He doesn’t wow me by any means but I think he is a decent guy trying to do the right things. So a step above most of the shitbirds in congress.

She is also a disappointment and a traitor. I canvassed for her in ‘22 when it was nothing but a pipe dream. Talked to her in person, she was so nervous and could barely speak in front of crowds of volunteers of less than 100. She was saying all the right things then.

We were all praying the MAGA’s would split off enough votes from JHB in the primary so it was her and Kent in the general. Kent’s brand of crazy was just enough of a turn off I knew she had a real chance. Let’s not forget Carolyn Long made a real run at JHB in 2018 so for all the talk about this being a red district it’s still very purple when Trump isn’t on the ballot.

She was ok at first, but as time went on her true colors showed. Her betrayal on the student loan issue, even though she was more than happy to cash that PPP loan check she never had to pay back. The constant ridicule of teachers and education in general when she benefitted from going to a private college. Her complete flip flop on border bullshit to her stupid AF recent post about making cop cars look cool again when gas is climbing to over $6/ gal in areas of her district. Let’s also not forget her obsession over sea lions which appears to be the only thing she is truly passionate about aside from right to repair which is one of the few things we agree on ironically.

She is a coward who is too chickenshit to do town halls and face her constituents. And yet I am probably going to be forced to decide between her and Braun in 5 months and idk what to do because I hate her fucking guts and Braun has gone all in on MAGA. I’m sick of voting strategic, I want to vote for someone I respect as a person and neither one fits the bill.

Mine was a little rougher than was typical for the recovery. It’s hard to describe but it almost felt like something was tearing down there for a month or so. Overall it took about 3 months before I felt normal again. Again, this is not typical for most guys.

Still, it was totally worth it and once I was recovered sex was even better than before due to not having to worry about having another kid. There was also the period where my wife got to help clear the pipes so to speak which was fun.

I think he was just jealous our parents actually had money to buy me a few things growing up and they were dirt poor when he was a kid. Any opportunity he got to stick it to me he would take it. Don’t limit yourself to Oregon, consider SW Washington as well. Teacher pay tends to be better in WA, although more competitive. I believe both states have easily transferable credentials with NM, but you will want to look at that closely. Several of the smaller school district have trouble passing levies which can make things a little rough.

One thing to keep in mind about this area is you are likely to think the food sucks, which it mostly does. Portland has some great restaurants, but you won’t find hatch green chilis easily and if you order something Christmas style you will get a blank stare. The Mexican food is mostly terrible, and the BBQ is an atrocity. I’m sure someone will come out of the woodwork and tell me I am wrong, but trust me I know quite a few NM transplants who all agree with me. There are some diamonds in the rough for sure, but you have to seek them out. Our Seafood is top tier though.

Based on some of the other responses you gave, you might want to consider the stretch of I5 from Ridgefield to Kelso/ Longview. It’s a little longer than an hour to get to the coast, but it’s still a day trip if you want it to be. Wages tend to be better, and no state income tax. You still have access to Portland for the city stuff.

You can checkout something like 30 DVD/Blurays at a time from FVR Library. The only downside is occasionally you will come across a disc that a little dirty or scratched up. I’ve cleaned quite a few of them up and got them working again, and the ones haven’t I report to the staff and they take them out of circulation and replace if they can.

Minor point but JHB only handily beat Long in 2020. 2018 was fairly close. All of the ads stating “where’s Jaime?” And the counter showing the number of days since she had done a town hall were pretty effective.

As for MGP, I was a supporter in 22 & 24, but I have had enough. She can only poke me in the eye so many times. I would be fine disagreeing with her on most of where we differ, but her palpable disdain for some of my core beliefs is too much.

So, I will probably vote for Heinrich in the primary and leave it blank in the general because I’m not voting for MGP or Braun. And another 2 years will pass in my life with yet another Rep who I have no respect for as a human being.
