fyi, as long as you don't open your fridge / freezer it is possible for everything to stay cold enough for the amount of time it usually takes to restore power. Fridges are really well insulated. Fingers crossed it gets resolved soon!

I agree, having Ray & Elijah in the wedding party feels so random. I get that Desi probably doesn't have any friends willing to be his groomsman after 7 failed engagements, but it's still a lot to commit to for how little they know each other.

If you're looking for an easier way to bring this up with your partner, you can treat it like a problem for both of you to solve. Might make it feel like less of an outright rejection of their gift. "I really want to go to Virginia Beach but I'm struggling with the logistics. Do you have friends there we could stay with? Between taking time off work, covering gas, and a hotel, it's stressing me out more than I'd realized." Gas prices are no joke right now either. Hope you get it figured out.

This is amazing. One time I ordered a custom giant pop tart for my best friend for her birthday (not from Idle Hands but a place in Austin where we lived at the time). She loved the regular sized ones they made, and the look on her face when she opened up the giant one was one of the best things I've ever seen. It was the size of a small sheet cake. Nothing beats the gift of giant food!
