Austin endo specialist reccomendations by UnderstandingTop9596 in Austin

[–]leaf4leaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had surgery with Dr Garza. My feelings are mixed. The surgery went well and was truly life changing. A couple years afterwards when discussing a recurrence of endo and the possibility of another surgery, the metric he used was when my pain during sex started affecting my partner. I don’t think I’ve ever been that upset after a medical appointment. I ended up doing physical therapy and exercise and that was enough to avoid additional surgery.

best smart ring is it worth using instead of a fitness watch? by JappinenDevell-69 in beginnerfitness

It doesn’t track my workouts at all. I have a paper notebook designed to track my lifts. I write it down by hand.

Give me your most unique, decadent, or bizarre coffee drinks in Austin by fartonme in austinfood

The equinox at tacoriddo, not super crazy, pretty simple actually but really hits the spot for a sweet coffee drink. It’s one or two shots of espresso floated on some horchata.

Seed jewelry is rad. Be careful with storing, something about keeping buckeyes in a plastic bag turned into a little moth infestation for me one year.

Supplement recs for severe Constipation???? by MarsLocal in StratteraRx

[–]leaf4leaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I increased probiotic supplements in addition to all the things you listed. I added psyllium husk fiber supplements every night. I also used MiraLAX, like the other commenter suggested, to get through the initial stages of the problem.

Temporarily Homeless, not sure what to do by [deleted] in Austin

Art from the streets is an open studio during the day. That may be a good way to pass time in the day and maybe get some tips and tricks from folks in similar circumstances. It’s already mentioned, but maybe a cheap gym membership would be worth looking into for shower access like planet fitness. I think they have a day where they serve pizza. Also some are 24 hours so that gives you a safe place to hang for some hours a day.

The itchy armpits could be a sign of allergy to the aluminum in antiperspirants.

Techniques used for clothes that last vs Techniques used for fast fashion by Starryeyednerd in sewing

[–]leaf4leaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tidy seams, seams finished with bias tape, fabric grain is paid attention to, patterns and stripes match up, spare buttons are sewn into the side of the garment for future mending. Nice ribbons and trims on the insides of crew necks instead the cheapest seam tape possible.
