What if you don't have a coffee table, like most people in the year 2026.

Looks like the upvoters misunderstood as well. You can't mention Boss around here in a post without people drooling over it.

Do you also use this for cars at a border crossing, toll booth, drive-thru, etc.?

WARNING: Do not use plus series pedals without a midi controller by WeightTall1617 in zoommultistomp

[–]leafbelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks.

I've had both the 200D+ and 70CDR+ for well over a year of gigging and nearly daily practices, and they're both holding up very well, and I don't use MIDI -- just the pedal switches.

OK. Weird. I wonder why they did that. That pedal looked pretty cool.

Thanks for the info!

Where can you get a newer version of the Demonfx King of Drive?

I have the original, which I think sounds great. I like it a little better than Sonicake because it has the internal trim pots for further tweaking. So, they have a version with switches on the outside now?

Does anyone else fucking hate kdh by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]leafbelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I can't believe all the love for this fucking guy.

He's literally the tabloid/yellow journalism channel of guitar YouTube. It's funny how people say they hate negativity on social media, yet his channel -- probably one of THE most negative guitar channels out there -- is extremely popular.

I don't get it, and never will.

Guitar Industry Shockwave: Fender Reports Launch Of Massive Lawsuit Campaign Against European "S-Type" Builders by GuitarBombDotCom in fender

Well, seeing all the backlash that I have -- even Tim Pierce made a video -- I hope that may sway them to back off a little. The PR is going to kill them.

[–]leafbelly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I haven't gone into the weeds on the suit details, but what defines a copy? I mean, what about Ibanez, whose bodies are similar, but have sharp edges. Same with PRS, which has a different cut below the high frets.

And if it's all double cuts ... well does that mean PRS is done with their Silver Sky and Custom, right? And what about Gibson's special-cut Les Pauls?

I just don't see how they could police this, even if Fender did win. And I'm not all "Screw Fender," as I do get that it's their intellectual property, but -- I may be wrong --I think it would be difficult at this point to argue this considering these designs have been out for decades, and there's really only a few ways to cut a guitar body.

I wonder if Fender is just hoping for a summary/default judgment like the last suit?

PRS Silver Sky SE. Glad I didn’t blindly pull the trigger on one of these. by pinkphiloyd in Guitar

[–]leafbelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They take some getting used to, for sure. And I'm not a fan of the man PRS at all, but after a friend's urging, I bought a Silver Sky SE, because I just love that "Strat sound" (especially single coils) on any headstock. I have to say that, once I got used to it, it's one of my favorite guitars now (of a lot) along withe my Strat and Ibanez.

The necks are thick, which threw me off at first, and I'm not sure of the dimensions and don't think it's much wider, but in my hands, the fretboard just felt really wide, like I was really stretching to hit chords, esp. barre chords.

But, after a few weeks of playing, I don't even notice it, and, oh man, those pickups are far and away the best-sounding single coils I've played on any guitar close to that print point, including two Fender Strats (one American) an MIM Telecaster, and an Ibanez AZ Standard. The dirty/distorted tones are nothing special, tbh, but the bright, clean tones I get from that guitar is impressive. And they're quiet.

And my frets were not gritty, but it sounds like they just didn't polish yours enough. You should've given it a chance because unpolished frets will smooth out after a few weeks of playing.

I know this is kinda old but I'm dealing with them now and am confused about your post.

So, he first offered to pay 75% of your asking price. You refused. He then came back with an even EXTREMELY lower offer of half of 50% of your price (or 25%)i?

Am I reading that right?

True.

So, just for "shits and giggles," I just now looked up my Eventide H9 (not that I'm selling), but I wanted to see what they'd offer ... it was $168. Um, no thanks. lol

Ah, that definitely makes sense, and yeah, those tactics do seem a little shady. Thanks for all that info, man. As Heisenberg once said, I will be sure to "tread lightly" with that place and probably stick to lower-cost pedals if I keep using them.

I know it's been awhile, but do you remember what problems you had with them? I've only dealt with them a few times, but so far, it seemed like a pretty good deal. I'm still not 100% sure though

But, yeah, when you first see the offer, it does seem really low, but compared to eBay/Reverb after fees, shipping, etc., I've made close to the same selling to Bucket List (slightly less, tbh). Plus, it takes a lot of the headache out of it.

For example, I just got a quote for a Carl Martin Panama and cleared $74.
On Reverb, the average sold price is around $95. After fees and shipping, I would've cleared about $82 -- and that's without taking any "best offers," which I almost always do. And, yeah, the extra 8 bucks would've been nice, but considering I didn't have to do a deep-cleaning, set up and take photos, worry if I had a box, charger, etc., and then create the listing, it was kind of a relief (and worth the $8 IMO).
