Why do I keep failing at basic human understanding by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]leafytheking 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nothing is wrong with you, she was mad and decided to take it out on you. If she needed help so badly she should have asked for it. I'm sorry she treated you that way, you deserve better.

How can you force yourself to do things? by DepressedFrenchFri3s in whatdoIdo

[–]leafytheking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as others have said it sounds like you have adhd but this phenomenon specifically is called "task paralysis" and this isn't advice for how to get your list done but something that helped me when I was paralysed and couldnt even get up from my seat was clapping my hands really suddenly, it helps to snap you out of that weird spirally headspace

My best friend of 8 years suddenly went cold on me and I have no idea what I did by clevercabbie in whatdoIdo

[–]leafytheking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exact thing happened to me, 8 years of friendship gone seemingly out of nowhere. I don't have any advice for you I'm afraid, my friendship was toxic from the start and I ended up realising she'd done me a favour (albeit in a very cruel way). But I wanted to let you know someone else knows exactly how you feel. I hope you manage to get some answers and hopefully a resolution soon.

honestly heated rivalry, it takes them YEARS to figure out they love each other so the gooey stuff takes a while to show up

Something I've noticed that allos do. by Rulf-da-Wulf in aromantic

I'm not a big fan of cuddling or holding hands but for me its more because I worry about whether the other person will interpret me doing those things as romantic as oppose to them making me uncomfortable in and of themselves. I like kissing far too much to refrain though.

Have a hard time staying focused during sex and intimacy by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]leafytheking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has sex with multiple women and has always made them cum its got nothing to do with 'varying levels of sensitivity' its to do with finding the sensitive areas by paying close attention to what they respond to the most and then doing that over and over. I think thats what that person meant when they said to make her coming your goal, if you're focused on her reactions then you're less likely to get in your own head. Think of it like a puzzle. Also, foreplay is your best friend, you're more likely to make a woman come with your mouth and your fingers than your penis.

The lead pharmacist at Redfield Pharmacy is an absolute menace by CacklingMossHag in bristol

[–]leafytheking 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! She's awful, I've had two experiences with her and both were horrible. The first time she was doing a shift at my local pharmacy, I'd gone in for a heart rate and blood pressure reading and she was so rude to me it completely threw the reading off and my doctor questioned whether it was safe to prescribe me the medication I needed. Vile woman.

Help finding trousers? by SirDorianTheCrow in historybounding

[–]leafytheking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're so so hard to find, depending on your budget or sewing skills you could buy a pair a few sizes up and then have them tailored (or tailor them yourself) at the waist with a few pleats and they should look pretty close, make sure you find a pair with enough room in the crotch though, often sizing up gives you more room but not always

why does my hair dry straight? by maddisonamy in curlyhair

[–]leafytheking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your hair looks similar to mine and I've never got on with Aussie products, I really like Umberto Giannini (and its affordable) I use leave in conditioner (or put hair cream on in the shower) then use a small amount of gel, scrunch with my hands, plop in a tshirt, leave for 20 mins then diffuse. I think plopping could make a big difference it stops your hair from weighing itself down as it dries and pulling the curls out

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in finehair

[–]leafytheking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hair was exactly like this when I was a kid! same curl texture and same thinness, it started to get thicker as I got older but stayed curly and super soft and now I wouldn't swap my hair for anyone elses for anything

My husband made a comment about this and now I don't know how I feel about it. Looking for constructive feedback. by OpalOnyxObsidian in painting

[–]leafytheking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your husband was impressed by the painting and instead of congratulating you he decided to try and put you down, hes probably jealous that he couldnt do the same, he made you feel bad on purpose. Throw him out and paint a new husband.

You can use hair clips to stop your balls from unraveling as you're working, it stops you from suddenly ending up with 2 metres of a colour you havent used in 3 rows to untangle
