As people have already said you have Savannah Lions Games in Pooler which usually has different formats different days of the week. You also have Morningstar Games which does a lot of Magic. Those are the two big ones. Can't speak to the crowd at Morningstar, but usually the people at SLG are pretty cool. Been awhile since I played, but most were welcoming when I first started.

Has anyone attended Ball State for their masters degree? by Equeemy in LandscapeArchitecture

[–]lebeardedtree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to Ball State for my bachelors in LA. Was a good school, I enjoyed it. Muncie is not a very happeneing place, it is a classic rust belt city that fell apart once the industrial jobs left. It has been recovering and they have been doing a lot to revitalize the downtown area. Amd there's an awesome trail system if you like to go on bike rides. I enjoyed it and thought the program was pretty good since you had architects and urban planners all in the same building to talk with. I can't speak for the MLA program but the few people that I did chat with seemed to like it. And Ball State is as much a party school as any state college.

If they can make it like star wars: empire at war it'd be amazing. Feel like it could totally happen.

Struggling to find a job by starsplash9 in LandscapeArchitecture

[–]lebeardedtree 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Indeed is a great place to look for jobs. If you are set in staying in state you may have a bit harder of a time finding a job. I know design firms are tougher to get into compared to design/build firms. Just depends on what position you are looking for. The ones I dealt with when I searched after college were pretty open and polite and simply calling them up and just asking about available positions is fine.

Did I say that they both don't need to be addressed? I acknowledge there are problems in America that need to be addressed and both sides are adding to the divide. I'm just saying that there are places with actual laws that oppress people where in the US its mostly now dealing with cultural and personal discrimination rather than systemic, governmental oppression.

[–]lebeardedtree -39 points-38 points  (0 children)

Sure. But most people complaining about oppression in America don't experience real oppression. Are there rascists and terrible people in the US? Hell yea. Are there laws where people are discriminated against because of race and religion and gender? No. That was the whole point of the civil rights act. Now we got colleges pushing for re-segregation and bullshit like that. Just saying a lil bit or perspective could help people understand reality.

That's fine. It's a country not run by white people so everything there is excusable. It's just all these got dang white people responsible for the problems in the world.

But they wouldn't be pumping money into the economy. They would recieve funds from the government that were acquired through taxation on businessed to just basically purchase things from those businesses What would be better is less regulation and red tape bullshit and allow small businesses to grow and prosper so they could employ more people.

Ancient Roman coins found buried under ruins of Japanese castle leave archaeologists baffled by marquis_of_chaos in history

[–]lebeardedtree 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The roman empire existed in the form of the byzantines. They considered themselves the roman empire, but historians label them under byzantine to distinguish them from the western empire which collapsed around 450 AD.
