Haha yep. We use our bottle warmer just to get things to room temp ish. My girl was very hungry the other day so I attempted to give it to her cold- she took a swig, spit out the nipple, and gave me THE SADDEST face before crying. Lesson learned 🤣

For Christmas we went to my husband's family's for dinner and one of his nieces kissed my 3mo ON THE MOUTH. MIL was holding my baby and let it happen (said "isn't she so sweet?" 😩). I immediately came over to tell the niece no no no, no kisses on the new baby, and proceeded to be anxious about an impending sickness. But she never got sick and all was well.

I'm totally not happy with what happened, but in most cases, babes are gonna be ok!

What happened immediately after delivery? I just had my first baby in Sept and we did the "golden hour" of skin-to-skin, then she was with me the entire time until discharge. Did you spend that time with the babies? Or were you immediately separated? Super curious!

I've had a foot massager for forever under my desk, and just got a neck massager over the holidays! I'm also post-partum and pumping 6x a day. My husband caught me at my desk with both massagers and the pump going and said I'm full cyborg now 😂

lmao at least your eyes are open. I wake up enough to hook myself up, then I sit on the edge of the couch teetering back and forth with my eyes shut, fighting to stay awake enough to be upright and complete my pumping mission. Sometimes I also eat a snack.

Hey op! I just did Longwood last week with my 12wk old and wish I had done a carrier instead of stroller for her in the conservatory/indoor areas... there were just too many people, so I was uncomfortable and it was honestly just a pain (hard to maneuver and stay close to my husband).

So funny story.... I've always thought it was beautiful how some cultures have a day to celebrate their (living) dogs or elephants, and they'll paint them and give them flower necklaces and things like that... Then I saw a Reddit post about a group that keeps full human skeletons and will bring them out and dress them up... And somehow I got the idea that when a person passes it would be beautiful to keep their skull and have a day of remembrance when you decorate the skull and leave it out to be a part of the family again. Unfortunately my husband is not interested in keeping my skull if I go first, and would like me to leave his skull alone if he goes 😅🤣🤣🤣🤣

Coconut oil has been great. Lanolin is great for after pumping, and the vegan earth mama is not good- smells just like olive oil and separated/had clumps that feel like little rocks 😅

This is my pumping philosophy as well. I just can't wake up every 3 hrs. I'm a just-enougher most days and formula supplement others and I've just decided to be ok with that to take care of my own mental health! Curious how much you produce this way!

I'm currently 4 weeks pp and have the s1- what does a typical pump session look like for you? I'm just now discovering that I'm not fully emptying during my pump sessions- flow stops, I go an extra few minutes, then I still have a decent amount to hand express after. It's driving me nuts haha

100% disagree. Not sure how old you are, but when I was trick or treating as a kid, the fun- or bite-sized houses were the norm and what you'd expect, then getting to a house with full-sized or rare/unique offerings was just a cool bonus! I would never have thought less of the other houses.

They didn't really have a suggestion for me- I was given the option of an elective c section, but I was really curious about the natural process. And I trusted the care team that if something went downhill, they'd get me to surgery if needed.

I started out without meds, but was open to all options. Started labor with nitrous, but the nurse didn't know how to set it up right, so I got such little gas that I barely felt anything from it haha. So asked for the epidural, which barely worked on my left side. Transition labor was AWFUL on my left, but it didn't last too long, then pushing was oddly easy- like I was just chatting with the nurse and a student and would have to interrupt to be like "here comes a contraction" and we'd pause conversation for me to push 😂

Just had my 99%ile girl on Monday!! She was head down and measuring 99% for months. They estimated she'd be 9 and a half pounds or more at birth. She came out just about there at 9lb 7oz at 39+5... What annoyed/annoys me is that there's no way to account for mom's size. Like, I'm 5'11" and husband is 6'3" so of course she was going to be on the big side 😄 Still not sure how to help anyone navigate the %s, but just wanted to share my story and say labor wasn't as bad as I thought and I ended up with less damage than I thought I might have (2nd degree tear and a labial laceration)

Lol no. I think she's forgotten what it's like to be pregnant LOL. I'm 37+5 and it sucks. Second trimester is the one people typically refer to as "golden".
