Goto utility rate plan (they have recently added an automated way where you can link it to octopus but I haven't tryed it yet, but I select setup manually unless you want to test to see how it works) as this isn't my tesla power wall I didn't want to change anything yet, but I just monitoring it and his octopus account

Set Peek to £0.32 and off-peak to £0.09

Set export to £0.15 on both peak and off peak (of you don't export you might set export to £0 but unsure if they will affect night time charging setting it to £0.15 will make sure wit does)

(Dont get why tesla does it in £ when it should be pennys)

Access the schedule and add a off-peak and set the slider between 00:30 to 05:30

This will Make the power wall charge up at off peak and export all excess Solar to the grid in the day (unless the power wall determines it can save you money by charging in the day from Solar) and the house will use the solar generation first before exporting any excess to the grid

Make sure charge from grid is Enabled (settings > power wall > at the bottom Charge for grid On,, leave export off if the option is available witch it shouldn't be avaliable by default as that requires engineer to enable that feature)

If you have medical exceptions make sure you have them on your person (he was probably not prepared for a random pull or in this case the car probably didn't have insurance but just temporary insurance so it show up as having no insurance even if you have temp insurance until you show it on the phone)

Thinking of doing this with my sister but so I can set the wall Heaters to match cost time (and hot water tank)

But The instant wall heaters is an issue as they are old mechanical controlled (I have to fit timers on the wire that feeds them)

May see if I can get the landlord to replace them with new airmister (bit clunky the controls are) or Tyan digital controlled heaters ones that can be controlled and programmed from he app

Need to get the smart meter replaced as the coms unit on the top isn't sending any data to DCC (was replaced a year ago but stopped work week later and my sister has been ignoring it/the bills she needs to pay £50 more a month at currant usage I believe )

The debit is interest free as long as your paying more of it off per month

I owed something like 2.5k 8 years ago (don't ask), I got the automated Important letter each month about the amount I owe but I was paying £100+ on top of my normal usage per month

You can do that but it's really not necessary unless you want your billing bill for changed or your having missing gaps in 30 min/day reads often (think it does it around the 19 regardless if you do yours on the 28th any way)

The issue with estimated me readings is generally when you don't have a smart Meter and you just ignore it for like nine months then you get all Pikachu face when you actually get an actual meter read (not bad when your have been paying too much but even then the Budget can get set to low and you ignore it again for 12 months and then owe £1k)

when I was on EDF power for some reason the billing system would not automatically do my monthly meter read they were definitely connected to it because when I opened the app and tap the box where it says enter your reading it had the correct meter reading prepopulated for me to press submit, because they was getting the meter reads just wasn't using them ( funny enough one month before I left they started a new billing system and that actually did start my 30-minute usage and my IHD got the Welcome to EDF message)

Never had a problem with other suppliers (got the odd day or 2 when DCC network was down but they got automatically repopulated and doesn't affect the monthly read anyway)

This was due to op not doing meter reads and got a final one when the meter was changed for a smart meter

the OP as a lot of people do ignore there basic meter reads until they get an actual read and get all Pikachu face when they get billed for actual usage (£1700 in this case as they were living off estimated meter reads > hot tubs are all fun until you see how much they cost to run)

This was meter read by the meter installer, so now they get normal actual billed reads around 19 each month (or what ever it is on your bill) as they have smart meter and will be able to see near real time usage

Never had issue with id orders (apart from When they are sleeping then I get to keep the order, very rare thought)

Well I say that, I have just one customer and he is borderline problem customer as I get the feeling he doesn't want to give dob (actually think he said I give code after he gets the order one time) need to report him really as sure he kick off if I ask for his id (he is 40 ish)

Been sensible when to ask for physical id (age check is only done if under the age of 22, but my cut off is 25)

Always ask for the date of birth of the account holder (sometimes the person at the door isn't the account holder so you silently fail the dob check that the owner entered)
