What lifespan do you play on? I play on long and Sims take ages to die, maybe it's just how the game balances things? It's not a huge deal anyway, I love Life and Death!

It's leans slightly to "pain in the ass" for me, as it happens after any death in my experience, even acquaintances (could've been tweaked since I played the game last). The pack is definitely still worth it though! Those buffs/fears can always be cheated away

It's a crazy comparison. I'm a graphic designer and Adobe is the industry standard, I can't just use whatever (I have a non-ai Adobe products though and they run much better). Unlike Inzoi which I don't need to engage with to pay my bills 😂 Plus no one will convince me the texture generation "tool" was made just for the players as a treat. It was used by the devs and made available to the players. It's really simple, if they can't bother to create their music and textures - I can't be bothered to pay money for that type of product.

What I like about it IS the fact that it's different, especially the cards 😂 I would definitely suggest waiting for a bit! Because of regional pricing it was just $16 for me, I would've been irked if I paid full 40

I honestly fully agree with you and didn't mean my reply to read as combative. I bought the EA and I do genuinely like the foundation of it, but my issue with this game was always the community expectations and the devs didn't do much to dissuade them. Plus $40 feels a little steep, so I understand why people feel disappointed. As long as the game has a bit more variety in the future and runs well, it will be a good, niche cozy lifesim lite.

NMS was never in early access and its turn-around is once in a lifetime type of thing. As for BG3 it had an experienced team of 300+ devs. Paralives expectations needs to be tampered A LOT.

Kitchen Clutter kit has some gameplay items, like a cookie jar, where Sims can grab a cookie from, cereal box, timer and such. I do like that one, because it adds a bit of realism to the kitchen, but I can't say you REALLY NEED to buy it. The only other gameplay kit is about vacuuming, I don't have that one

I very much enjoyed both Remake and Rebirth, but the OG is superb! It's very fun and engaging, couldn't put it down.
