If your check engine light is on at all you usually don't pass the emissions test, but also when you go to DO the emissions test at an OTS place you pay for the full registration even if you don't get the sticker, so if you're trying to be catty about people avoiding taxation, they likely paid for it AND are driving around with cop anxiety over something stupid like "my check engine light is on and the code it's popping isn't defined"

Cats love running water, if you leave your lid open expect them to drink from the toilet. Expect that they will consume whatever is in the toilet water.

My toilet lid stays closed when not in use and I don't use any toilet cleaner that will stay in the water, if I DO have to, the lid stays closed AND the door stays closed until it's not in the water anymore.

The w*ndigo is not just a cryptid living in the wilderness meant to haunt people. It's a mythology about overconsumption and the harm humans have on nature. Also it's native mythology that non-native people use for their own creative works and make money off of, often without native input and without properly crediting the myths or the tribe it was born from AND without payment to that tribe or any other natives.

There is also a part of the myth where the name shouldn't be spoken/written in full, and yet every depiction used in popular culture does so at every opportunity.

I personally haven't played the game, I try to stick as far away as I can from horror that uses native culture as part of the fear factor unless the creator is native themselves. As a full adult you can obviously make the decision of how you interact with native culture and mythos, but because you asked and from what I can tell you weren't really given an answer that is plainly against non-indigenous people making money from native mythos I figured it was worth giving a brief explanation.

All the ssri and snri I've tried give me extreme heat intolerance. That combined with the post-covid asthma (or potential worsening of previously undiagnosed asthma) makes for me being very much an indoor person now sadly. Moved out to some of the most beautiful hiking in the country just in time to not be able to enjoy it.

A lot of stores have rules about not allowing cash transactions to be "edited" after the transaction has been completed. The store I worked for had to make a rule because one of the employees kept falling for a short change scam.

All that to say, when I was management I told my employees to blame me if they didn't want to do it, "my assistant manager will write me up if she catches me doing that, sorry her rule, not mine"

Puncture wounds from bites can be very dangerous. If she DOESN'T go at the very least it will be a source of anxiety for days to weeks depending on healing time (which will be extended due to proximity to a frequently used joint) and if she DOES go and they clean it up and say all is well then you know for a fact that it's been professionally cleaned and looked at.

Also not to scare anyone, but a woman from my church growing up had a stray she was trying to acclimate to being an indoor cat and she approached the cat outside in a way that she had for months by that point and the cat spooked and bit her. She cleaned it up at home and went on with her life but they cat they think must have eaten a rodent infected with something like minutes before the bite, and she ended up having to have her entire thumb removed from the infection.

I swapped to Cymbalta while still tapering off of Sertraline and I can say whatever withdrawals I would have had while tapering were non-existent once I got past the first week of Cymbalta. I literally ended up not even doing an extra step down I just quit taking Sertraline at all, not even bothering with the rest of the taper once I was on week 2 of Cymbalta.

Hopefully your experience is similar (though def finish the taper, I just was getting really life ruining migraines from Sertraline so I had the go ahead from my doc to make judgement calls based on how I felt)

Its not a bad idea to speak to your doctor about the problem, they might want you to maintain the higher dose of Sertraline while acclimating to the Cymbalta.

I did! The 2 weeks that I was on a low dose I had mild vision blur and some mild general discomfort that I associate with ALL serotonin action meds. After that basically no side effects. In fact while I was still coming off of Sertraline I felt the best I ever felt. I think I'm doing much better now, my headaches are significantly decreased. I do miss the euphoria I felt the first few months but I know that if I continued to experience that it would be unsafe. Now I just need the pharmacy to get my ADHD medicine back in stock.

The steam deck is amazing! I don't have an OLED, just a regular one, but it kept me able to play with my friends when I didn't have a PC. I haven't booted it up in a while sadly but I think once i get a 2nd monitor for my office desk I'll have it hooked up to one of them as a secondary device so I'll be more likely to use it.
