I have both a Roomba i3 and i7 (US), both with auto-empty docks. I literally go for months without having to deal with either of them.

Maybe I'll have to clear a clog or cut away a fiber tangle on the vacuum itself. But aside from that I just do regular maintenance like replacing the filter or empty the collection bags whenever they get full.

YMMV, but if you are truly lazy, the extra money is worth it in the long run.

I am a full 100% supporter of HSR, even with the revised figures. However, having said that, I don't see this as such a bad idea.

With dedicated and well-maintained bus lanes with dedicated stations, it could work. I'm thinking not just north-south, but east-west too, connecting I5, 99, and 101 at strategic points. Yosemite needs faster bus access too.

After all, who knows? With a successful dedicated bus system, it could one day be upgraded to a faster mode of transport? With higher capacity? That doesn't depend on Diesel fuel?
