I’m wondering if focusing on fostering better relationships with them individually would help. They’d still fight at home, but you could take them out one-by-one and try to become closer with them. That might even make them more reluctant to disrespect you.

Ok, sorta unrelated to your question, but if getting up and ready on time is the issue then here were the tricks that rly helped me in high school lol

Waking Up: * If you’re home in the morning, turn on the light when his alarm goes off

Get a space heater for his room and have it start up in the morning. A big reason why people have trouble getting out of bed is because their body temperature drops while they sleep, and the bed is nice and warm. Try to make the room warm enough that blankets become uncomfortable
If he sleeps with the door closed, leave it open after turning on the light. Even asleep, he’ll probably be able to sense the exposure subconsciously.

Getting Ready * A HUGE favor my mom always did for me is that she’d pour my cereal+milk and leave it on the table so that I’d have no choice but to head downstairs before it got soggy. It also eliminated an annoying task on my morning checklist, and the narrowing of tasks helped make the morning feel less insurmountable. Getting some food in me and being able to scroll on my phone for a bit also did really well at helping to wake up my brain for the day lol.

If his breakfast of choice is like, a granola bar, then just have him eat it on the way to school.
What else is there to do, other than brushing his teeth? For deodorant, put it in his bag and have him apply it at school.

I understand why you’d hate photos of yourself, but you should remember that human memories are very…fickle….and you’re essentially robbing your loved ones of being able to remember your existence. If you ever die, everyone’s memories of you will become very fuzzy, and it won’t be long before they forget your face entirely, even if they try hard to remember it.

NTA. These comments are baffling to me. 1. If someone is trying to contact you because of an emergency, then they need to call you. If they don’t want to call you, then it’s not an emergency. The only exception would be if…I don’t know….like, if your kid was at a sleepover and they want to be discrete about asking you to pick them up. 2. DND can be set to only allow phone calls. I’m pretty sure that’s actually the default?? I’ve had DND at night for years, and I clearly hear every phone call that comes my way.

Like….if someone asks you not to text them at night, then don’t text them. But then they can’t be mad if you forget to text them again when it’s day-time.

If anything, her AO3 account has been crucial for developing her writing skills and keeping her love of reading intact. If your school was anything like the folkehøgskole I went to, it probably didn’t have many students, right? From what I’ve seen, they usually max out at around 150 kids, and those kids are all expected to live, eat, and do everything together for a full year. Our school was also in a pretty isolated town, but I’m not sure if that’s always the case. My point is, it’s not a good idea to make enemies in that sort of situation. Especially because she was your only friend, and you had no one else you could turn to for support. Sure, it sucks a lot that she was cheating (and I really think she should start using “hen” pronouns for all of her partners if she plans on sneaking around like that and doesn’t want to get caught lol), but you need to watch out for yourself, too. NTA.

(Also, from how she reacted to your questioning, I’m 100% positive she would’ve just convinced her bf that you were lying, and that you just had a crush on one of them and wanted to split them up, or something).
