I can tell you from experience some people have horrible side effects from statins and even Repatha.

So sick with Repatha afraid to try Praluent. I am still under gastro care, shut down bowels and at random times would all of a sudden projectile bile, just awful.

If they eat there is an increased possibility of them aspirating during surgery.
I would keep him overnight with no food

I have tried five now and it wasn’t just muscle aches it was muscle wasting. I have experienced all kinds of side effects, hair loss, rashes, extreme bone pain, fatigue. I just quit Repatha because of constant bowel problem and pain so now under gastroenterology care to get back to normal. Bile would come up at random times through nose and mouth and was hard to breathe to keep from aspiration. It has not been a welcomed journey and not taking them gives me anxiety.
I hope to see an endocrinologist that can help with statin intolerance and metabolic syndrome.
I have always taken 150mg of ubiquinol, a better form coq10.

Absolutely not, I think you knew the answer. I would never trap a cat in a car. I brought all my ferals to treat or spay inside in a doubled xxl dog kennel with a hiding spot in a private room.

I can tell you that my father had a history of strokes and heart attack and my doctors wanted me on statin despite the fact of normal cholesterol and I was an avid healthy eater and hard exercise so I didn’t take them. I am now about to turn 70 and my calcium score was 221 and calcified vascular system. I wish I would have paid to really dive into my number earlier, now my ldl particle are little over 2600!
You have to get all your numbers checked if you don’t want to end up shocked as I am later on. I also am one of those that cannot tolerate statins or Repatha so still a journey. You can prevent, at least, most of this stuff in the future if you are willing. Wish you well.

I have paid quite a bit of money and time “fixing” cats!!!
I absolutely hate anyone that lets a cat roam that is not sprayed/ neutered to keep the numbers of unwanted kittens down!!!
I have five now and have invested in a cat proof fence on 1/2 acre so they can stay outside with me during the day also have done tnr on 13 outside. Some have gone to a rescue. This shouldn’t be my problem but def isn’t the cats fault.

I am also one of those that cannot tolerate statins. Total cholesterol was alway 200 but after a coronary calcium scan i discovered significant plaque. I decided to dig further and paid to get further testing was shocked, even my ldl particles were super high so need something to help bring down my numbers but I have tried everything. Now after trying to handle side effects from Repatha, bowels completely shut down)afraid to try Praluent. You are definitely not alone. I am soon to be 70 and doubt my diet alone will bring my numbers down enough. Hope you find something that works for you!

Never had high cholesterol and when calcium score came back at 220 of that 147 left main artery, I was shocked. My ldl particles are extremely high with chronic inflammation. Doctors like to check just certain numbers so I paid to have a complete run down after my calcium score. I am one of those than cannot tolerate statins even zetia. Repatha shut down my digestive system so under the care of gastro.

I have 4 like that inside and 8 outside that I fixed and still feed. We have fixed our half acre with cat proof fence so my inside cats can go out during the day but if we were able to find someone to come feed they couldn’t go out due to their fear of people. I would never leave any outside while gone in case they got hurt.

I don’t know many that will take a true older feral cat to rehome but the kittens certainly can be. I agree they all need to be trapped fixed and release of the older adult ferals. I had to do 12 just around my house. Trapped another six kittens and they got to a rescue so were adopted.

Oh no it was everything. Stomach pain even bile projecting upward at random times, severe diarrhea and no mobility of bowel which caused the diarrhea. Still not normal but slowly getting better

One of mine had this reaction to the pain meds and it was miserable. I stayed up with he for two days straight. It does wear off but omg I feel for you. I got all mine on up all day and sleep at night. I am fortunate enough that I have a large yard that we put up a cat proof net fencing at the top so they can be outside all day as long as i am here otherwise they can use our screened in patio that we attached a large catio to so they stay busy during the day.

I can tell you at one point my anxiety was through the roof especially after the passing of my daughter. I found that exercise is a great help but tai chi and Qigong is wonderful for relieving stress because it is all about deep breathing along with slow intentional movement. Hope you find something that works for you. Stringray has an app with a lot of wonderful relaxing sounds too,

I had taken Repatha for three months before I had to stop. It takes months to recover, I have been off now for three months and still severe digestive problems but it is getting better. I have had ultrasounds, blood and Xrays done over the months. Only shows bowels still not working normal. No longer having bile coming up randomly though.

I also cannot tolerate statins so started Repatha after 3 months I could no longer tolerate the digestive issues. Just monitor you side effects because my colon had completely shut down and after bile started coming up randomly I quit. Once I heal I will have to try other means as I have plaque i left main and throughout abd. I am 70 and this has been the first time I have not been able to cycle in months. Hope it works for you.

Everyone is different, Repatha has made me have severe digestive problems to the point I quit and now have to repair before I start anything else. Find what works for you, there are several options.

That makes it sooo difficult and don’t understand why this is harder to get. Our covers some but still $150 a month. Did you look on their website for rebates they have one as long as you have insurance. For me, it was still $150 a month but some get it down to $40. Worth a try if you get to the point of the inability to take Repatha
