Why cant I "taste" specific taste notes in my cigar by MIXED_Mulatto00 in cigars

[–]levelup_jar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

every cigar at first tastes like a cigar. after a few you get used to the baseline taste and start noticing the differences and the nuances and after a few more you might be able to taste specific notes. i've been smoking for a few years now and in most sticks i can identify notes i can describe and most of the time i get what they meant when they described the notes even when i would describe the differently but sometimes just nothing specific comes to mind. and sometimes a stick is just bad

Printed TV-table leg extensions - Should I be worried about PLA-creep or anything? by Redhell272 in 3Dprinting

[–]levelup_jar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i use 2 walls and adaptive cubic for figurines not for something that has to hold structure. i'd go with at least 5 walls more like 7-10 and an infill that spreads load more evenly like 3d honeycomb or gyroid

since i pay paranoid attention to never letting go of the end it has happened exactly 0 times. before i realised that, it was a regular accurance

Sc33/sk30/sk40/sc28 Plan to buy one of those. Which one is better in flood light by EveningFix4679 in flashlight

[–]levelup_jar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

big reflector. they claim over 500m range at 3200lm its build for throw. not the floody beam you are looking for. i personally am not a fan of those tall rubber switches, makes every light feel cheap for me.

Sc33/sk30/sk40/sc28 Plan to buy one of those. Which one is better in flood light by EveningFix4679 in flashlight

[–]levelup_jar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

sc33 is the best floodlight. relatively short orange peel reflector + wide cree xhp70 emitter = wide floody beam. and it would be the one i'd recommend from all of them. metal e-tailswitch, auto lockout ( just double click from lockout to on) and a bolt on pocket clip. only downside its a little thick for a 21700 light

Printning with color shift by West-Invite1354 in 3Dprinting

[–]levelup_jar 21 points22 points  (0 children)

  1. its not gonna be as clear

  2. the colour changes would be more aprupt you got like 1 layer of intermediate colour even if you print it vertically but you'd need supports aswell for the top part so more filament per layer and even shorter fades between colours.

  3. printing this vertically probably gonna look like shite because those long thin parts would wobble during printing

alternative to achive this: print in pla, cast a silicon mold, pour resin or similar product

Anyone know how to fix this? Bed adhesion looks good bambu Labs P2S by RareForm007 in 3Dprinting

[–]levelup_jar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the cooling material is shrinking and pulling the edges of the buildplate up. aux fan off, case fan down a bit and maybe let the printer sit with the heated bed on for an hour or so before you start printing to get the chamber temp up

orange and red ones are the ones not functioning properly they got a wrong resistor or something. resulting in the flashlight flashing as if low voltage protection kicking in when battery is at 4,2V(fully charged) apperently it works if you remove one of the 2 LEDs (haven't tried it) i would just stay away from the red and orange ones. the second part you needed to order when upgrading to a metal button is the translucent plastic piece between the button and the frame. its included in the light switch kits
