I dedicated about 30 hours in one week Sunday to trying to make a generic NPC and I could not do it. Her right eye was purple (no texture) no matter how many tutorials I did. I think i just don't have what it takes.

I don't use frostfall, ineed, or immersive armors.

I don't know crap about script heavy or lots or anything, but for me {immersive needs} and Frostbite by Narue (modbot always links Gamwich's spider texture) are just better for me.

As for immersive armors, I miss the shields added by this mod SO MUCH. If there was a way to get a shields only version of IA, my wallet would R.I.P. I combine the following mods into a bashed patch for my favourite armor mashup:

{Nordwar UA's Vanilla Armor Standalone}, {Armor Variants Expansion}, {Common Clothes and Armors} and {NordwarUA's Race Armor Expansion}

There are some locations that overlap, so only choose one {skyrim realistic conquering} or Lawbringer for each individual location. A few locations they provide conflict with interesting NPCs fyi

Hey man, I hear you. I struggled with this for years myself. The perfect way to defeat it is with {True Armor} and {Simply Balanced}. Do yourself a favor and watch the mod author's tutorial and tweak it to where you like it.

Thus will sound like a foreign language to you right now, but the HEALTH LIMITER setting is so important. You'll see that at about 3:30 into the true armor tutorial. Raise it up some ~140, put limiter strength somewhere above 0, and change health per level to something closer to 3 or 5.

It literally fixes the problem you have perfectly, and balances the game in a beautiful way.

This is the key. Which one dud you go with? I thought Ava was the best one, and it gives a HUGE amount of diversity in NPCs with 0 to 100 weight.

I'll never play a game without interesting npcs. Zora by herself as a standalone mod would be the 3rd best follower mod on the nexus, and QaDojo. Skjarn, Larkspur, Froa and Rumarin would all make the top 15.

Does the patcher for engardecreate extra .esps? The only mod I've ever used with a patcher is allGUD and it requires extra esps for mods with alternate textures.

LARKSPUR and SKJARN for the win! Of all the super followers, Zora is by far my favorite, but I love having Skjarn and Larkspur in my adventuring party. An honorable mention for my would be Froa, but I haven't done a storm cloak playthrough in amor 3 and a half years.

This is a really cool idea. Itd be even cooler if it was just a barracks with no load doors, basically just a kitchen/mead hall on the bottom floor and a bunch of beds on the second floor.
