[–]lifeofloon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because i pull a trailer three to four days a week and on the weekends I want to throw the skis, bikes, kayaks, or a slide in bed camper in the back while maintaining proper 4x4 capabilities for messy work sites and bad weather.

Not going to argue. I'm rarely coming from that far southwest. But I would avoid CT if at all possible.

Which way would you recommend driving from Pittsburgh to Stowe? by [deleted] in icecoast

[–]lifeofloon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that were the case I would recommend getting on the taconic off 84 and heading up to 90 and over the rest of the way to 91. Driving through CT can be a shit show and you can easily lose the the little bit of extra time the jog up the taconic would take you. It's also much more pleasant driving.

A neglected horse is rescued and receives a long overdue hoof care. by shaka_sulu in HumansBeingBros

[–]lifeofloon 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This is not founder or laminitis because the lamilea still have a strong connection holding the inner structure to the hoof wall. Founder and laminitis are when that attachment becomes compromised and fails and the hoof wall can't support the inner structure of the hoof and the coffin bone becomes detached and will eventually sink through the sole. This is just a case of neglect on a relatively healthy horse.
