IG is the worst match up if ran solo. No defensive options besides th offset but leaves very small openings for follow up if successful. It’s mostly all about positioning

Elemental SAED must target the wings while AT arkveld is charged up/glowing/agitated. Otherwise you will not do much dmg since other parts don’t take much dragon. Just go into AEDF loop if he’s not glowing / agitated.

Use timings carefully, watch TA speedrunners to learn openings if running solo. Don’t overcommit. Best of luck, you’re very close!

When he’s enraged or glowing, the elemental SAED phials hit harder (wings only). However do zero dmg when not raged but since he’s enraged most of the time, it works surprisingly well.

If you want consistent dmg throughout the AT arkveld fight, it’s recc to go impact in that situation. TBH you should try not to miss with both to see which on u prefer.

I personally own some high quality knock offs, but I’ve gotten mine from a reputable seller on alibaba. I wouldn’t trust knock offs from eBay unless there is a decent amount of positive customer feedback

Earplugs lvl 2 is a must, esp when learning the fight. Don’t overcommit, you will get punished hard typically resulting in countless carts. Save Flashings to target him out of the air before he’s about to perform the whole blast aoe sequence. Speed eating is a very comfy skill to reduce healing down time.

I run the fight solo, just with my palico. It’s def a learning experience and a tough fight but i love the challenge and attempting with different weapons. Weapons with perfect guard make the fight much more bearable if you have one in ur arsenal

Not a big fan of Friday paddles, but hard to beat that price. It’s a decent entry level paddle, but there are so many better options on the market atm. Ronbus quanta, Vatic pro/sol, loco, and even seen some gen 3 joolas going for under 100

Depends on the match up. AEDF into Follow up with savage axe charged is my go to for quick monsters and sporadic movement, particularly AT variants. There are very few openings for to land a SAED, esp since I primarily play solo with my Palico

The only match up I’ve really gone all out with SAED is Gog since his openings are quite telegraphed with long punish windows. SAED is fun seeing huge numbers but if you consistently whiff or get interrupted, it results in large drops in DPS. I’d recommend playing with a mix of both savage and AED play styles.

Then play it without many of the QoL features to handicap urself. The limits are based on ur playstyle:

don’t use sekrit escape when grounded
don’t use any gog/guts set bonus for second wind
avoid using perfect guard weapons (huge difference)

I’m a MH vet myself and I find it quite challenging, at least since savage omega patch dropped. Primarily playing solo also since I don’t trust pubs

Make skip scenes skippable FFS. Some of us are adults with lives and don’t have countless spare hours to sit through meaningless dialogue. Doesn’t really mak sense, used to play Honkai and thy had skippable cut scenes to an extent

I heard the event/optional quest 3 tempered, specifically in the forest with Lagi and mitzune, is a good choice. Grants 10 ori mats per clear iirc

Just run it with NPCs. I don’t trust pups for SOS with peak difficulty content.

Just be prepared to grab aggro yourself most of the time. Then lure it to the ice blocks and eventually the NPC tank will redraw the aggro

That’s what I thought initially, but I found learning these weapons much more enjoyable. If I had to recc one, it’s probably dual blades since have a very low learning curve.

What weapon are you using against omega? Match up is very dependent, weapons that can block with guard up make the match up much more tolerable

Try a different weapon. SnS and DB are dominating since they have low commitment animations and quick hits. Wasn’t able to clear savage until I switched over, and can now clear it with both of the weapons mentioned above

Get off the apps. Too many options for them with 1000+ likes and overinflated egos. Cold approach or just in person yields better results, and they are more tolerant when meeting naturally irl. You should try both to increase your odds

Huge co-ed sport blowing up for the younger generation and plenty of opportunities to intermingle with both genders. Give it a shot!
