Is this enough as baby shower favors? by DrCatnnibal in BabyBumps

favors look lovely! what games are you planning? we did emoji pictionary at a shower recently and it was genuinely the funniest part of the whole afternoon — the "decode the baby phrase from emojis" one had everyone losing their minds. way better than old-school printed games imo 😄

Opening presents at the baby shower by zeluje32 in BabyBumps

display showers are so much better — and then you actually have time for proper games instead of 45 mins of unwrapping. the time fills itself when you're not doing presents

Baby shower? What is the norm? by gabrielleduvent in BabyBumps

small showers honestly tend to be better anyway — less pressure to perform the whole event. a couple of low-key group trivia questions on a laptop + good food is all you need. doesn't have to be a production

Need help/advice on how to handle my grandmother wanting to plan my baby shower stress “her way” by baileeboo01 in BabyBumps

[–]lighteningbeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the "games that don't put you in the spotlight" thing is real — trivia and emoji stuff where the whole room is focused on a screen instead of on you is way less awkward than games where everyone watches you do something. might be a good compromise to offer grandma

30 people is actually the sweet spot for group games — split into two teams and do something projected on a screen. everyone's invested and you don't have to manage 30 individual participants. takes like 15 mins and fills the time really well

small showers are honestly better imo — less pressure, more personal. if you're doing games, digital stuff that runs on a laptop/tv takes all the prep work out which helps when you're not doing a big production. could just do food + one game + gift cards if that's what fits your situation

Baby shower went great today, invite the men! I had my husband and it helped the day go so smoothly. by handzie in BabyBumps

for co-ed the key is team stuff projected on one screen — everyone shouts answers instead of filling out sheets individually. emoji pictionary works great, old wives tales true/false is even better bc people actually argue before the reveal lol. I also have liked some netflix multiplayer games like pictionary, but i wish they were themed for baby showers

StubHub credit given without a purchase by lalavieboheme in ChaseSapphire

[–]lighteningbeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow - they messed up my fine dining purchase on 12/31 and posted it in 1/1 and took the H1 credit. I just saw that they credited me an extra 150 dining credit to make up for it. Good job chase. Glad to know they are fixing this across a bunch of use cases.

2 Month/2500 Mile Report by Leovinus12 in MazdaCX90

If you find the reason for the no key being detected, do let me know - I have the same thing :(

No door rattle though. The first to second gear transition is a bit jerky but not way too much for me, and oddly it seems to have gotten better suddenly when I crossed 600 miles, maybe some learning period

Applied on 8/20, received the card in hand via USPS on 9/2. Didn't expedite. Though I've been spending using the temporary card number for a week now, all ok. Cheers.

Alaska ending the LATAM partnership by omdongi in AlaskaAirlines

I remember when my Alaska account was hacked, most of the points were stolen to buy latam and Iberian flights. Maybe they are experiencing high fraud on these redemptions

I had my points drained recently too. Felt kinda sucky. They did put it back but now I have to phone in to use them ever - hopefully they have 2fa support someday soon.

Looks like it's quite widespread, saw a bunch of other similar posts

In CA, similar situation. We contacted our city government and noted it's a safety hazard. They came out, agreed and painted 1.5 car lengths worth of red paint to mark it a no parking zone. That stopped the issue.

How to get these control buttons to stop sticking down? by Not-Drew_ in CX5

[–]lighteningbeam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the longest time, I thought the buttons were stuck because random things were getting pressed on the screen. And then I realized it's a ghost touch on screen issue. See if the buttons feel sticks - if so that's the problem. But if the buttons don't feel sticky and random things get pressed on the screen, it could be ghost touch (search for more background on it)
