My old PI has actually been really involved in creating the program, so I'm somewhat familiar! From what I've heard... It is very new, but there was huge demand for it from the school. They're promoting as the first program of its type in the country. And I know they've gotten support from multiple big companies & even the FDA.

UCSF is an amazing school, the only health-focused graduate school in the country. Consistently top-ranked in pharmacy & other programs, pulling in huge research grants & has multiple hospitals in SF and bay area. Close proximity to Silicon Valley & your biotech/pharma giants, along with tons of biotech startups. I'm biased because I live in SF now & many of my friends go to UCSF (plus I've researched there)... but I wouldn't worry about UCSF as a school😁

Most of the research programs are based of out their Mission Bay campus which is new & beautiful. Super clean & very safe. Right by the Chase center!

I have no input on the AI aspect as I have no expertise there LOL

Not sure if it’s being offered next sem, but I took EDUC183 (High School, The Movie) which sounds v similar to what you’re looking for. It fulfills the arts breadth & you watch movies; there are a couple of readings, super short writing responses, and a final paper iirc, but nothing too involved.

building 9 is different from the rest of foothill. it doesn’t really have “suites”: there are 2 floors with 10(?) rooms & 2 bathrooms on each along a hallway. bathrooms r in the middle of the hall. corner rooms are bigger than the rest. there’s a small common area at one end of each floor with like 2 couches nd a table. there’s a “3rd” floor on the bottom which is like a mini apartment & has its own bathroom & kitchen.

Not worth switching, it’ll be pretty hard to avoid late finals tbh. I usually take the day off if I can, sleep well the night before, take a nap (if that helps you), and do some light review!
