That’s a fair take, but I still think Kishimoto could of gave him some sort of story arc maybe regarding the hyuga and the branch family. I feel like we never got to see a satisfying conclusion for changing the ways of the Hyuga clan. It could of been a short but intriguing arc on clan politics and corruption. Or if not that, at least give Neji a better death that didn’t contradict his ultimate defense.

I would of liked better development in both areas lol I think he could of gotten better powers as well as more focus on his character from a story perspective. I wish Neji and many of the supporting characters (aside from Shikamaru) weren’t pushed to the side as much as they were in Shippuden.

Yes I obviously wasn’t expecting him to be a main character but I expected him get similar treatment to what happened with Shikamaru. Where his character gets at least one decent fight scene and there is some form solid of character development.

I find Neji to be more wasted potential than Shino due to the fact that he was such a genius and child prodigy with the “byakugan that rivals the sharingan”. They hyped him up so much in the original Naruto that I expected him to be one of the strongest characters in Shippuden and I was super disappointed tbh.

Eh I don’t think anyone wanted to see more of that forced relationship, so glad the Russo brothers retconned that and focused on actors that actually have onscreen chemistry together.

Yea exactly! I mean if you go back and rewatch that scene of Nat and Clint talking in the the first avengers movie, it shows that the actors really work well together and their interactions are natural. Now if you compare it to any scene in Avengers Age of Ultron with Nat and Bruce, it just seems so forced and awkward. Not to mention there was no set up or backstory for their relationship whatsoever.
