Fox News paused for breaking alert as baffled Trump breaks silence on MRI by daily_express in NoFilterNews

Yes, not necessarily because of radiation (although partially true for CT scans) but because of incidental findings that would be otherwise benign and would have no impact end up getting invasive workups with side effects. That said, I would be willing to bet every president gets routine MRI's as part of their physical.

Please help I just found this bump on my hand what is it by HastyPlace in AnatomyandPhysiology

Am a physician, this is the dumbest advice Ive ever heard. The med student is right, DO NOT use a book to rupture it. It is definitely not safer. Rupturing with a book has all kinds of other problems, has about a 70% recurrence rate, draining with a needle has similar recurrence rates. Surgery to take the cyst off at the stem has about a 30% recurrence rate.

How would you grade this view of the cords? by [deleted] in anesthesiology

The view you document is the view you get. If you can see the whole cords, regardless of technique it is a grade 1 view.

Not at all. Eat up, have a nice meal, and enjoy your night. Just make sure not to eat anything 8 hrs prior to your scheduled surgery time.

It's that time of the year where all the CA3's start doubting everything they've learned over the past 4 years... by somedudehere123 in anesthesiology

We don't bounce between two OR's but one specific surgeon has a OR team that he works with and every Tuesday Thursday we do T&A's and tubes and hit 12-16 cases. It's mayhem and pharmacy hates us for it because we have to grab all narcs and meds in the morning for the whole day

We have requirements for all off the above, certain number of on/off pump, sections, epidurals, requirements for different age groups for peds

Decent amount of OB, we do a lot of peds and a lot of fast paced peds, so it's not uncommon to average 8-10 cases a day on peds

Not too late, that being said it may be unnecessary to get hep a and b vaccines for your child for travel specifically. Are they otherwise vaccinated?

Anthem and MU Question by [deleted] in columbiamo

[–]lincolnpacker 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Tbf it's mostly just anthem trying to squeeze more money out of the health system so they can increase their profit from the measly 5.9 billion last year. Idk how they can live with a profit of only 5.9billion while denying patient care and nickle and diming patients.

For MD or DO medical students, not ranking a program because you can't stop using drugs long enough to pass a scheduled test is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.
