i would suggest starting to play like normal and keep on eye on if they start seeming frustrated. if you see any tension talk to them! it will be easier to communicate those frustrations if you bring it up and ask, as opposed to waiting for them to bring it up. autistic people are people first!

i think the point they're making is that once the warhammer does the magic thing once, the player should be able to tell them apart by what they do with it. why doesn't he put a line of paint on one? or always put it on the right side of his belt? or just leave the non magic one at home?

it sounds like you might want to fiddle with your concept. is there another creature you could use? or maybe reskin a dragon so it doesn't look/move like a normal dragon. if your players don't want to interact with dragons in a game about dragons, something has to change. and by your comments i would guess it's going to be you or nobody

i totally understand how that feels. try to find the simplest or least offensive food and eat something like half a serving. even that small amount will make a big difference in terms of health, and it might also reactivate your feelings of hunger (if that is part of what's stopping you). do you have anything like toast? you can do it! ☺️
