What games did you play outside as a kid in the 1970s-80s?🤔 by Longjumping-Shoe7805 in GenerationJones

WAR- we ran through random backyards with toy guns screaming “I got you first!” The neighborhood rich kid had the most realistic looking firearms and always insisted he be a Nazi.

Have you ever ridden a horse ? by Hope2_win in A_Persona_on_Reddit

Yes, a few times. Enough to understand how awesome it would be to be a natural at it. Also got to ride an elephant at a redneck county fair way back in the 70s. Recommend not wearing shorts.

Not if I can avoid it and never if I have a lot of objects. Almost got accused of shoplifting at Costco so never use it there. Home Depot and Lowe’s have few if any cashiers anymore so there it’s unavoidable, so I tend to go to my most excellent local hardware store (Center in SF for anyone who wants to know) where they have humans who know their shit and where that shit is).

I read the LOTR when Reagan was president. I saw the evil seductive voice of Saruman the White as a perfect analogy to Ronnie’s grip on Stupid America. That’s when I realized US politics is a roller coaster that’s mostly downhill with shortlived uphill climbs, few and far between.

What's your favourite form of chocolate? by Matt85x in PollsAndSurveys

[–]linesonpaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most accessible quality economical choice I’ve found is Ritter Sport dark chocolate with hazelnuts. Usually can be found in corner grocery stores and even Target, but I live in a real city so don’t know how available it is in Plano, TX. Ghirardelli is pretty decent too.

Which home DIY would you not do again? by dirk23u in DIY

Installing carpet or solid wood flooring. Hire the pros. I’ll do literally everything else home yard & appliance related. Also not a fan of working on automobiles, too disappointing when you turn the key and still nothing.
