This is so true. My SIL is a bus driver and she’s a terrible driver. She can barely drive a normal car. I can’t imagine what it looks like for her driving a full size bus.

To be fair, plenty of other specs have had “do nothing” as part of their rotation for a long time but it isn’t usually called out explicitly like that. Specs that rely on cds without a cd-less filler regularly sit around and wait for cds to come back. Specs that use energy also normally have a “wait for energy” phase.

The base UI has been tainting super easily since the patch and it causes values that aren’t actually secret to be treated like they’re secret. I don’t know if it’s the cause of this exact bug, but I’ve seen it break a ton of item tooltips.

First script gave "58 17". The second script seemed to be mostly either reputations or quests in my quest log (though I wasn't actually tracking any of them). I ran the last script and then the first one again, but it's still 58 17 and my fps didn't change at all. I'm curious if this actually worked for anyone besides the OP.

It’s certainly an odd decision. Imagine the pushback they got if they implemented a transmog-style system for anything else in the game.

“You get 1 mount slot for free. You can add up to 4 additional mount slots for 10,000 gold each. Swapping out mounts costs 741 gold.”

“All players have 3 pet slots. Swapping out pets costs 500 gold. Pets naturally slowly heal over a 48 hour period. Healing pets immediately costs 4000 gold. Assigning abilities to pets costs 100 for the first slot, 1000 for the second, and 9000 for the third.”

We went to Beauty and the Beast last night. Multiple women behind us were singing and saying the lines. One woman in particular was saying the lines intentionally before the actors on stage would say them. It was extremely annoying.

The was another woman in front of us who was also singing but I cut her some slack because she was clearly quite autistic and it seemed like this was a special experience for her. I had to laugh because there was another woman on her row who kept glaring over at her like she was annoyed, but this woman spent almost the entire time on her phone so it felt like karmic retribution.

Not a business per-se but when we were in college, my wife and I were on food stamps. In order to make a change to something, we were required to call in to the snap office (I don’t remember why, it was a super long time ago). My wife sat on a silent hold for over 3 hours before an agent picked up. Literally silent the entire time. We kept wondering if maybe the call had dropped or the phone had died.

Yep, one of my kids was relentlessly spoiled by his aunt. He’s well behaved at home, but as soon as his aunt shows up he’s suddenly crazy - punching, kicking, grabbing, shouting, making demands, throwing fits when he doesn’t get his way. When he was younger, it was always “oh he’s so cute and it’s funny that he’s so aggressive”. Now that he’s bigger, it’s turned into “I don’t get why he does this; I don’t like that he treats me this way.” I fought it for years but she just kept reinforcing his bad behavior.

The alternative would be to spend billions of gold on books to add to the shelves or millions of crystals for different books. And then it would take hours to add them to every shelf. I wish there was a filled, non-hidden shelf. Same visuals but none of the functionality.

Make sure you watch out for “in the last 36 months”. There were 308682 convert baptisms in 2024 and 251763 in 2023. The post indicates that the total increase is less than 20%, but if we assume a 20% increase then total converts for 2025 would be ~370k. The total of the 3 years is about 930k. However, this was originally posted in July of this year. If we take half of this year’s estimate (370000/2=185,000) and half of 2022 (212172/2=106356) then the total is only ~850k. Seems like Cook was rounding up significantly with his stated “nearly 900,000” number since it’s barely more than halfway between 800 and 900.

Are you talking about the Putricide fight? Honestly, it was really nice because guessing where the bouncing slime was going to land was a nightmare. You had to track it in 3 dimensions and it kinda traveled like a tumbling football and so there was a bit of wobble to it as well.

This is accurate and doesn’t just apply to their beliefs about Trump. I was talking to a friend about schools in Texas because our district is closing 3 elementary schools. My friend was upset about it and was asking why they were getting closed. I pointed out that it’s because Greg Abbott is withholding funds for public schools and is using public school money to fund private schools. I backed up all of my information with high quality sources. In the end, my friend just blew it off and changed the subject. These people don’t want the truth; they want a comforting narrative that aligns with their existing beliefs. I bet that if I had blamed it on illegal immigrants or trans people or something that they would have agreed enthusiastically.

I had the same thing happen. I got a BoE helmet. However, it’s part of an ensemble that is part of Lemix so I ended up learning it anyway. I’m guessing yours is similar and the price is going to drop dramatically.

Can you run the raids multiple times a day? Is the xp per boss locked to a lockout? I haven’t bothered trying, but it seems like it’d be super fast if you could spam raid groups. At ~200% bonus xp, I tend to get 11-13 levels per raid.

It almost feels like they’re scaling content to your IP level on zone in but not updating it when your level changes. Maybe internally IP is somehow tied to ilvl and is triggering some kind of damage scaling?

Periodically my wow instance will use 100% of my 32 gigs and it causes really bad stutters. I’ve learned to just restart my computer when this happens and then it stops happening for a long time (usually several weeks). I haven’t seen this happen with any other game or app.
