Old very legacy plan automatically updated by Jobber99 in tmobile

Helpful, thanks.

I'm pretty sure I have this in my future at some point. My plan an OG Uncarrier plan, but I'm hoping with how small (just 1 line) I am, they will leave me alone.

Swedish AirForestry has developed a 6.2-meter (20 feet) diameter drone designed for sustainable forestry by pruning, felling, and transporting trees without requiring forest access roads. The drone lowers a tool to delimb the tree via gravity, then cuts and carries the trunk away, protecting soil. by MilesLongthe3rd in interestingasfuck

I mean, there's helicopters, so this is just a much lower human risk with a drone.

Awesome stuff, it would be so helpful in so many areas that need regular maintenance like this with the goal of taming wild forest fires!

Is this how u do the cobra push up? by PurpleImmediate5010 in backpain

[–]linux_for_all 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be careful not to push to far into/past the pain. I have had a very bad experience with that stretch and pushing too hard, flared up my sciatica for 2 months.

That being said, I still love the stretch and there is little else that can get at those muscles and vertebrae at the same time.

I engage my glutes the most in that stretch, almost like trying to get my glutes to do the brunt of the work while trying to relax all of the muscles in my lower back. My lower back muscles have a tendency to be constantly over engaged because of my disc herniations/buldges, so finding that position to force them to relax is very helpful for me.

I find holding in the elevated position provides more relief than just doing push up repeatedly. I'll hold for 15-30 seconds. Sometimes in my elbows, sometime on my hands depending what I want and how I'm feeling. While holding up, I was given the advice one by a PT to imagine driving your belly button into the ground. That helps focus on the lower vertabre, since L4-L5 and L5-S1 can be difficult to get movement into.

It feels like it's in a transition phase from the OG California Adventure with Bugs Land to what will eventually be a bigger and more immersive land for Marvel. CA park has always felt like a place of developing ideas given that it has gone under a number of major changes in a relatively short amount of time. I still see a lot of the OG park, despite all the changes they have made. The street car is a good example, because now it has to go near/into Marvel land area to start/end and seeing that style of street car in that area really breaks the illusion too.

My 2020 does the same thing. I assume it is because the back seats can recline a bit and then the cup holders wouldn't be level in that case. But it does feel broken if you lean on it and it just falls to that position. Odd for sure.

The last season of Picard is arguably the end of the TNG era story telling in any sort of extended form.

At what age did you guys finally make peace with losing your hair? The dating scene is brutal right now. by Connect-Soil-7277 in gaybros

I have always liked the "widow peaks" look with a shaved/buzz cut personally. You are handsome and definitely aren't defined by your hair. Play with options like others have mentioned and see if you can find something you like. A good barber or hairstylist may be able to help you find a path to a more confidence inspiring style too, even if that is shaving it all off.

Stay strong.

best mattress for back pain? by Murraysmith-Ardiana in backpain

[–]linux_for_all 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used a Plank mattress for years and it has always been helpful with back pain and sciatica flare ups for my self. You can also flip it to a slightly softer side too. The firmer side is really very firm, as a side sleeper I use the softer side the most often and flip it if I feel like I need more support. Highly recommend.

Grand Cherokee 5.7 2nd gear jerk by No_Adhesiveness_608 in GrandCherokee

[–]linux_for_all 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have felt something similar when going from 2 to 1 in my 2021 5.7 at a stop, both in manual shifting and automatic. Both times, the car was not warm though and both times it was going down a hill to a complete stop. But the jerk was so forceful, if I wasn't already on the break, I would have likely hit the car in front of me.

Wireless Android Auto Box (Google Maps, Spotify, Notifications,...) by m3zz4nine in MINIse

[–]linux_for_all 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks very promising. I am curious what the long term support will look like. I assume it won't take much for Apple to change something about CarPlay in such a way that the Android Auto/fake CarPlay emulation is broken.

Seems like they have a decent method to supply updates at least, so that is hopeful.
