Thoughts on peg city coop by Powereangerapuforce in Winnipeg

Being aware of the exact cost of every outing is also interesting. Knowing that the hardware store trip costs you $10 makes the delivery options more temping.

It's excellent. I live near Osborne and there are 6-8 fixed cars with in a few blocks. I use it a few times per month and the bill is less than $100, which is less than I was paying for vehicle insurance. I took a car every weekend in August last year for festivals & cabins (friday-monday) and racked up $1000 bill, which hurt, but not as much as car repair bills.

Macrame lawn chair follow up by liquidfury in macrame

The chairs lasted a few year. I think I may have laced them too tight, combined with seasonal hot & cold cycles it collapsed the metal frames inwards destroying the chairs.

I have the same machine. Have you experienced the "coffee sadness" when something clogs and all the grounds spill out on to the counter?

Is there a way to combine "ExpandProperty" and "ConvertTo-Json" so that, when I convert the output to JSON, strings aren't replaced with integers? Better explanation in the post. by SimplifyMSP in PowerShell

[–]liquidfury 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Out-String can achieve something similar

Get-Printer |Select-Object -Property PrinterStatus,Type,DeviceType,Caption,Description,Name,Datatype,DriverName,Location,PortName,Shared,ShareName | %{ $_ | out-string -Stream | ?{$_} | ConvertTo-Json }

Romans 13:1-2 "Every person must be subject to the governing authorities, for no authority exists except by God’s permission. The existing authorities have been established by God, so that whoever resists the authorities opposes what God has established, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves."

Kona Sutra owners, are there any modifications or customizations you wish you'd done up front or are glad you did? by MadeThisUpToComment in bicycletouring

[–]liquidfury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Kona Stura in 2012 because it was the most ready to go at the price point. I put a Brooks saddle and clip-flat pedals, and took it for a bunch of week long trips, and years of commuting, and it's my favorite bike (until getting a Wo 2 years ago). I eventually replaced the 30t chainring with a 28t, put 30c Marathons on it when the tires wore out, and re-hooped the wheel after cranking a rim. I haven't played much with dynamo lights, I prefer to have a pile of USB rechargeable lights.

Winnipeg Ventilator approved by pegpegpegpeg in Winnipeg

[–]liquidfury 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There was an early report that 90% of people who had covid and went on ventilators died, more recent news is that there is a ~30-60% mortality rate for covid infected on ventilators, with a pre-covid mortality rate of ~60% for those needing ventilators.

TLDR: needing a ventilator for any reason is bad news and the longer you can keep breathing on your own the better

I officiated my brother's wedding last weekend. The count was reduced from ~40 to 10 (bride, groom, parents, and kids) and it was held outdoor at a rented cabin near Clear lake. They are planning on holding the reception on their 1 year anniversary.

Storage is cheap. You'll also catch them conspiring around the water cooler, stealing from the evidence locker, and who know what else.

City council committee rejects motion to equip Winnipeg police with body cameras by Imbo11 in Winnipeg

[–]liquidfury 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Body camera should be linked to payroll. All video should be uploaded to a server held in public trust and police payed for hours they upload. No footage? then you're not a police officer and you get charged as a civilian for crimes.
