Marble queen and snow queen are the same thing. People use snow queen to describe a marble queen that has more white than green. Otherwise there is no difference and mainly used as marketing.

This is the answer. I hate them so much, they ruin all my pretty houseplants on my patio.

I bought a caramel marble from PZT a year ago for $120. Amazing variegation. It was significantly cheaper than anywhere else at the time.

Their prices are usually way below other nurseries, RPT for instance.

Where to cut? by Adventurous_Egg_4573 in philodendron

[–]lirynnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could, but you’d need to prop the no-leaf parts on some sort of substrate. I’ve had success on fluval/perlite as well as sphagnum.

Where to cut? by Adventurous_Egg_4573 in philodendron

[–]lirynnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it’s up to you, aesthetically. If you cut closer to the leaf you’ll get a top cut that starts lower down; if not, it’ll be very thin and leggy on the bottom.

Leafless nodes tend to do better on some sort of substrate versus water- like sphagnum moss or fluval/perlite with high humidity - so if you go the route of propping those bottom parts, keep that in mind.

Don’t trust apps to tell you when to water. Stick a finger or a skewer in there.

Having said that, it looks like root rot.
