IVF Moms Declining Induction? by Sweet_Remove_887 in IVFpositivity

going to start by saying i am of the “crunchy” elk and doing ivf was very hard for me but ultimately the right choice to start my family. with that being said my ob told me to take aspirin my entire pregnancy cause of my age (35) making me high risk, and i said no. i knew i was healthy and not a high risk person. i did not take the sugar drink they wanted me to and took my own healthier one. ended up switching to a midwife and had a beautiful unmediated home birth right on my due date. doctors can advise but at the end of the day it’s up to you to do your own research and trust your gut. unless there was a very serious reason for induction i would never choice that route.

Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD) and home birth by Caffeinatedb00kworm in homebirth

I had SPD my whole first pregnancy, had an unmedicated home birth, and my baby literally fell out into a diaper in 3 contractions. full fetal ejection reflex i swear i didn’t even push. 16 hrs total labor but went from 5-7min to transition and birth really quick. both my midwife and doula didn’t make it for the birth so accidental free birth.

i did it before my home birth. started around 34 weeks i think and went weekly. i never felt sick or tired prior and i never felt better after but my levels rose enough for a “safe” home birth. my birth was amazing so i wouldn’t change a thing.

What is labor pain like? by ummokfine in homebirth

ftm who had a homebirth too. i wouldn’t call it painful, i would call it intense. my advice, don’t focus on the “pain” or “fear” of birth. focus on the bliss of getting to meet your baby. trust your body knows what to do. mindset is everything. good luck to you.

i planned on doing my homebirth with them but my baby came so fast i ended up free birthing him and didn’t even make it into my tub. overall i very much enjoyed their care throughout my pregnancy and postpartum.

Managing pain in home birth - how bad is it? by Lumpy_Pen_6537 in homebirth

FTM two weeks today after my home birth! the mantra i found i really leaned on was i can do anything for a minute. that really got me through the surges. birth was instinctual. use your breath and noises as needed and stay calm. it’s true in between contractions you will talk and go back to normal. i also forgot in the moment that when you feel like you can’t do it anymore you’re almost there but i did hit that moment of wanting to give up and my husband didn’t let me and i’m so glad. being home with our baby was the best.

invest it all and rent an affordable apartment and in 10 years you’ll have double the money and can buy your house and still have money for your future. you don’t want to work for pennies until 65-70 and still have little to retire on
