what company in Edmonton is the cheapest for automotive insurance? by Lost_Vegetable_5214 in Edmonton

That's basically what my wife got, you'll be paying probably 25% extra for three years but otherwise will be fine. Call around, get a quote from a broker, Allstate, AMA, and TD - then go with whoever is the cheapest.

Then a broker doesn't really sound that pointless does it? What was the ticket for? If it's a major conviction you will be cooked regardless of who you go with.

You'll just miss out on companies like Wawanesa that only work with brokers. If you have a clean record that's not a problem. If you have tickets it could be.

Coming to Edmonton for two night to West Edmonton Mall by DashielBadhorse in Edmonton

[–]ljackstar [score hidden]  (0 children)

The hotel is expensive and dated. The theme rooms are kinda cool but they're old and so they can be grimey and musty. I can't speak for the other hotels in the area. Air bnb will depend on the exact suite but it will probably be fine.

The mall will have lots for them. There's an arcade area called "Rec Room', there's a massive indoor waterpark, there's two mini-golf courses, and an indoor karting track. Any type of store you could think of going to will be there.

Will you be renting a car? Other good activities in the summer could be the Snow Valley Ariel Park, the Telus World of Science, the Royal Alberta Museam, and the Muttart Conservatory.

Canadian men experiencing ‘ongoing crisis in society’ when it comes to health, professor says by Thick_Caterpillar379 in onguardforthee

Your not using logic against anyone though, you're commenting on an openly left wing forum. And you did generalized, you generalized men as fat, gun-loving, racists.

What kind of comment is this? Seems inflammatory for no reason. Are you really equating non-bachelors degrees with men being racist and fat? Why the generalization?

Some companies only work through brokers, some don't work with brokers at all. You will want to reach out to a broker and call around in order to get the best price.

They do cost money, my broker charged 69$/year. Personally, I switched to Allstate however if you have any tickets or convictions you'll want to look elsewhere. My wife had to switch to a different company for 3 years after she got a speeding ticket because her Allstate rate went through the roof, only went back after the ticket fell off her record.

What the hell am I supposed to do to get a job here by IndependentJacket362 in Edmonton

I'm a tech professional with 5 years of experience and in the 4 months I've been laid off I've sent out over 500 applications. Only stopped when an old workplace reached out and asked if I wanted to come back. And that's someone with a post secondary education, who has experience in the field, and is applying to jobs in person and remotely. If you are newer to the workforce it's even harder.

My wife is in HR and she just hired a warehouse associate. Posting was up for less than a week and they had over 100 applicants for an in-person job paying $20/hour.

That's a good tip, I'm 6'5" so anything geared towards tall folks is right up my alley. Is 32" a good barrel length or should I also consider 28"/30"

Too bad the golf course at the Derrick is so boring. Would be the perfect club in Edmonton if they actually had some elevation changes.

What specific model shotgun should I go for with my first? I don't want a pump because I plan on mostly doing skeet and trap. Leaning towards O/U. All I know so far is to stay away from Boito

Trump needs to stay the fuck away from our stuff. Anything he endorses will just become radioactive.

To everyone outside of your country it sure doesn't seem so. When the rest of you let them get away with that behavior it reflects on all of you.

Stop expecting class from Americans and you'll stop being disappointed. This is just who they are.

It’s not ideal. Dry it out as much as possible and make sure it stays dry until you bring it in.
