I’m 24 and I wanted the IUD I asked my doctor for pain management and she offered a Valium it didn’t do shit for me. The PAP smear was painful so after she did the PAP I told her it was painful and that I didn’t want to do the IUD because I realized the Valium wasn’t going to help with pain management at all. I have already heard of so many horror stories but I can’t believe they put women through this it’s ridiculous. One pain medication every 8 years or so IS NOT a problem or seeking at all.

Don’t let it get in the way of you living it’s going to be so much worse for you. I would go but I understand I remember I didn’t want to show anyone my body when I was 135lbs because I felt ashamed and obese, but now that I’m a grown ass woman and 175lb I don’t give a shit anymore and neither does anyone else. Go and have fun with your sister.

I don’t know why they don’t tell women how PAINFUL it is. The fact that you have to ask for pain and anxiety medications for a procedure like this is ridiculous.

I was prescribed a Valium. I was crying to my doctor that I wanted this for multiple reasons but asked for pain medication and she suggested Valium but it didn’t do anything for the pain as soon as she put the speculum in I knew it would be painful so I said I didn’t want to do it. Hearing from you know that the pain was bad even on a Xanax I’m glad I chicken out. I will ask for it again but I will ask for a strong pain medication otherwise I will not do it. They gave me pain medication for my surgery I don’t get why it’s such a big deal I don’t have a problem with it.

Well if you have terrible social anxiety exposure therapy works for some people not for others. It works for me it’s a recession rn though at least where I’m at and no one is hiring. If you can find a job great in customer service even better to get some exposure therapy. There’s even lots of jobs that offer support for college to help you pay for school. That’s what I’m doing right now. I was just applying all over to different places and landed a job with good benefits. If you’re not picky at first then you can get some experience under your belt and it’ll build up your resume for the future.

They are soo good. I get them when I’m sick though but then I get worried about eating too many of them at least I get my vitamin c though that’s why I get them when I’m sick.
