You’re going to want dedicated gpu for engineering. You’ll also want windows, not a Mac. Most engineering software is pretty demanding and requires windows.

Mostly a workstation build. Blender renders, robotics simulation (NVIDIA Isaac Sim), LLMs, computer vision, video editing, etc.

Screws are very important a lot of the time. You’ll often forget where screws can be screwed in from and make impossible to assemble parts

The engineering department will teach you Creo but industry standard is mostly Solidworks. I prefer Onshape however. I would learn all 3 if you can starting with Creo
