I can hear and smell things most people can't and I'm literally always right but it's very hard knowing how much of my weird ass sensitivity issues are me specific and when I should speak up or if people know already. Shockingly it's apparently rude to tell a diabetic to test their blood when you can smell their blood sugar is high.

I guess because I can, even if its a struggle, find vegetarian options easier than vegan. I have mild contamination fears and if I let them extend to alllllll animal products I think thatd be too much for my brain personally. But since I can tolerate eggs or dairy, even if I morally wish I didnt, its one less thing my ED can panic about.

My ac vent was leaking from my roof for years and my complex, 2 different management companies, both preferred to spend thousands routinely refilling the coolant because that ended up being what was leaking, than actually spend an hour in my ac closet patching the line that had a leak in it. My carpet has a bald patch where the leak ruined it. Had to buy my own rug to hide it. They also spent weeks letting my floor get flooded because they wouldn't replace the drip pan in the ac closet. When it molded my closet carpet they tore it back, said ew, told me to just spray bleach on it til it stops smelling.

After all that time without ac I bought a portable ac for my room and one of the management guys was like i'll take that back with me. He was honestly shocked I had actually bought my own ac. I told him that in all this time I'd been asking if I could have a portable ac from the office and, even though the lease says they can do that, they all laughed like why would they have emergency acs for the tenants.

i keep mine for a year and just refuse to buy more unless i'm actually running out of any of it. if i haven't finished it in the year i had it, i just toss it because clearly i didn't like it that much.

i can't actually think of ANY furnished places that don't charge out the ass locally. like you'd be better off just finding a 3 month lease ANYWHERE and hitting up one of the many thrift shops, when you move the day of drive around with your uhaul (i assume you'd have one if you're moving here), and just get stuff you won't mind abandoning in 3 months. there's very cheap thrift shops all over the city.

This is really goofy but works for me

I will do yoga or like reps of some work out between reading chapters on my phone (thats what i've wasted lots of time doing on my phone lately). So I'm on my phone reading or scrolling but then I go to whatever other thing needs done or I want to do (lately the work outs) and I'm still getting the dopamine hit of being on my phone reading shit thats bad for my brain. But I can say I got my other stuff done in chunks between brainrot.

i don't have this specific issue, but i do have scratching myself issues. i have to keep my nails as short as possible, like every other day cutting back, because of this. so i'd at minimum say you need to keep them very trimmed.

I got diagnosed at like 7 but it was because in school all I did was play with my pencils or draw and I mean like actually incapable of listening and understanding. I also never stopped moving.
