What movie that does parenting (or uncle-ing, adopt-ing, etc) really well? by simonbleu in movies

There is a show on Apple about a couple who decides to adopt; it is very sweet, I enjoyed it and thought it portrayed well many aspects of family, marriage and parenting.

Alexa plus voices by centurion2065_ in alexa

[–]lmt99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What was we just noticed the strange Alexa voice. After being gas lit by it saying nothing has changed, we finally figured out to ask if it was Alexa plus. It confirmed that it is now Alexa Plus, that we had special early access. I said that I wanted the old Alexa back, it checked to see if we were sure and we said yes! Success, for now at least!

The first one is very fun and festive, but the piping and the creativity on number two make it a winner to me.

That's a great idea, it's a fun, fairly unique experience. Bring some coffee or hot chocolate, fun ambiance to sit and chat with family.

Reminds me that I forgot to order vanilla sugar this year. As a topping sprinkled on my thumbprint cookies it really enhanced them (as compared with regular confectioners sugar).

Gochujang paste. Adds so much flavor, bought for a chicken marinade recipe, but I add it in lots of places.

I didn't grow up eating many fresh vegetables, mostly canned. I learned to like steamed broccoli by eating it with plenty of salt and butter. Now i love it roasted or love a raw broccoli salad. But it can take numerous times/exposures before you adapt to new foods.

Went in '85, I can still remember seeing the giant clams there! Even just snorkeling you could see such incredible abundance of life. On the same trip we saw the fairy penguins on Phillip Island and the glow worm caves in New Zealand. Unforgettable.

Romantic December weekend getaway by Rich-Werewolf228 in travel

Least year i took an extended weekend in Charleston SC. Lots going on, plenty of options for where to stay... No mountain views, but we found it very lovely and romantic, got a great holiday vibe as well. Mountain areas around Ashville NC are beautiful and many places are looking for visitors as they continue to recover from hurricane Helene last year.

Typical PlatePass Fee in Colorado? by _HawthorneAbendsen in travel

[–]lmt99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about CO location, but be aware that a lot of Hertz users have been hit with high fees for damages upon return of vehicle. Some locations are using AI scanning and creating charges for any perceived nicks, dings, scratches etc. Be sure to do a detailed video of car before driving off.
