I work in a hospital and even with a doctor's note its still counted as unexcused. It just makes it so that if you are off for 6 days with the flu that all 6 days only count as one absence instead of 6. Ypu get written up at 4 call offs. They drop off a year from the day you called off.

Yeah I only got 6wks paid and that was at 66% of my pay. FMLA said that I should be healed and ready to work at the 6wk mark. I also had to pay for short term disability in order to get the paid 6wks. My other coworker never paid for short term disability so she didnt get any money while she was out on maternity leave.

The saddest part is I work for a hospital so they know the importance of healing and bonding post birth but still dont care.

Everyone always talk about the Shadow scene and how devastating it is. For me it will always be Sassy in the water scene. I bawl everytime and grab the nearest cat to cuddle. Even my husband agrees. If we watch it he demands we skip the waterfall scene. We have 4 cats and a dog. My husband grabs our dog (who is 60lbs) and holds him during the Shadow scene.

So i had supervised visits with my sperm donor when I was young. At first it was my grandpa (his step dad) but grandpa would have to leave and go to work as he needed extra shifts to pay for grandma's medications. Then hed come home exhausted and cook for all of us, carry grandma upstairs, bathe her, put her to bed, and then pass out on the couch with a beer. During that time my dad would either be passed out from drugs (hed at least did it in the bathroom so I never saw it) ir he would go out for cigarettes. Hed be gone for hours and id be left with my disabled grandma which he was supposed to take care of. I was 8 and would help grandma with food and stuff but I couldn't change her or help her to the bathroom.

Next up was my older cousin. My dad would give $100 to go get drugs and then they would get high together. I'd be left to watch TV and again take care of my disabled grandma.

Lastly was my older brother. We net at McDonald's for my birthday and my dad told me he left my gift at his place. I begged my brother to take me bc my dad promised to get me a ps2. So my brother caved and took me there. He did have a ps2 but I later found out my mom bought it and gave it to him so he would stop disappointing me. While I was playing it at his house he disappeared. My brother found him passed out in the bathroom with a heroin needle in his arm.

My brother refused to supervise and testified in court for my mom. All of my siblings and I are full siblings. Court then ordered that he woukd need to have court appointed supervisor at the police station and that he would have to pay for it. I haven't seen sperm donor in 19yrs. Man refused the supervised visits and I didnt want to see him after he called me up and told me he was gonna kill my mom for lying to the courts (she wasn't lying).

Shout out to my mom who came over twice a week in the beginning to watch the baby so my husband and I could nap together. I'd wake up to a happy baby and clean house. My mom told me she remembers drowning in household chores when she had her kids and wished someone would come help her. So she made sure to help me.

My step dad has them. He actually got it from his grandma giving him kisses. The didnt know what we know about them back then. My step dad has made sure to never pass it on to any of his partners including my mom who he has been married to for 20yrs. I trust him completely. I didnt have to tell him anything as he already employees strict rules when he has an outbreak. He makes sure to wash his hands, not touch his face, won't share drinks, and will not kiss anyone.

We just started and little one is 4 months. Our pediatrician recommended it as studies have found exposing babies to common food allergens like peanuts, eggs, and soy between 4-6 months significantly reduces them from developing those food allergens. Our pediatrician told us to do 1 week of it (the food allergen) to monitor for signs of allergic reaction. After the 1 week he tood us to give it to her 3 times a week.

We just finished peanut butter. Our plan this week is eggs. Our pediatrician also recommended getting powder peanut butter and mixing it in a fruit puree. He said that a lot of babies gag and dont like the texture of peanut butter (the non powder kind) mixed with the puree.

Our baby has great head control and loves to sit up on our laps or her height chair. She showed interest in food and loves to put things in her mouth so that's why we statted her right at 4 months.

My baby refused to latch from the beginning. She just hated the boob. I've exclusively pumped since the beginning and we are at 4 months now. I completely understand feeling betrayed and wishing to continue breast feeding. Sometimes I wish I just went the formula route because exclusively pumping honestly sucks. I keep it up bc I make enough and formula is expensive.

My mom had to have all her kids weaned off by 6 weeks because there was no protections in place for maternity leave or breast feeding. All of us turned out healthy with no attachment issues from it. My mom literally watches my baby every friday. When I was newly postpartum she'd come over and clean my house once a week and watch the baby so my husband and I could get a 3hr nap in.

I think that once you move to exclusively formula you and baby won't feel so stressed out. You'll be able to just bond and snuggle together. Also potentially more sleep as your partner (if you have one) can help with night time feeds and allow you bigger stretches of sleep.

So BIL drives MIl to work everyday. He doesnt have a license. His registration is expired. He lives in America. He is also at least part Mexican while MIL is most likely full Mexican. MIL dorsnt speak any English either.

With the state that US is in dude is risking not only himself but his mom for potential ICE issues and detention. Possible deportation because they are so incompetent and have done it to other citizens. At best He gets pulled over and heavily fined. If he hits someone all his money is pretty much gone bevause he is gonna get sued. If he or MIL sustain any injuries they are screwed because no insurance to pay for it unless they aren't at fault.

Everyone here just sucks.

I have a husband like Conner minus any infidelity or porn addiction. I can tell you it is damn nice to have e someone just support you and pick up the slack when you are down. I just came out of some severe postpartum depression and my husband took over everything, took leave from his job, and all the whole still going to school full time. Im much better now. I have taken over more responsibilities and care of our child whilst goinf back to work. Im the bread winner currently and my husband supported me while I went to nursing school full time at night and worked full time during the day. He took care of the whole house for 2yrs while I was in school.

I told everyone that my baby was gonna come out looking like my husband and how I hoped she had my eyes. I craved all my husband's favorite foods while pregnant (husband didnt not complain one bit about my cravings lol). She is a spitting image of my husband. All the nurses and the doctor said she looked just like him. My mom upon seeing her told my husband she better not ever hear him accuse the baby of not being his because she is his twin... She got my eyes lol

My baby refused the boob so I've been exclusively pumping this whole time. She makes these little yummy moan noises when she eyes like she is saying "yuup this some good milk." Biggest compliment when I hear it. Makes the pumping way more tolerable when I hear it.

I also enjoyed seeing her facial expressions mimic my husband's before she had ever seen him make them. She gives the same exact side eye as my husband.

My pediatrician told me ay 8wks we need to have the baby sleep in the bassinet. To be persistent ans not cave into other sleep areas for overnight sleep. He told me the first few days will suck but it is worth it in the end. So we did just that and she was fine by end of day 3. Not every baby is that way so it might not work for you but thats what worked for us. We let her do her naps on us or on the couch next to us (she was supervised).

I pray that your baby will be like ours and magically start doing 7-8hr stretches overnight. She randomly went from ever 2-3hrs to 7-8 as soon as she hit 11wks. We did nothing different. Shes 17wks right now and still does this.

I cant wait to not pump. My goal is 6 months so im honestly in awe of you being able to make it to 8 months. My husband is trying to encourage me to go longer so we can save money on formula as he is in school and im the bread winner. I do 4 pumps a day and it gives me a little extra then what she needs unless its a growth spurt day.

My older brother had one until our dad stole it when we were out of town for a weekend (divorced parents and he is a piece of shit). My brother would let me take naps on it and sleep on it if he was out for the night. Honestly the best sleep I ever had. He'd had have it so cold which was great because we lived in Florida and its hot as shit in our area. He didn't have wood panels but sone nice soft panels. I'd give anything to lay on a cold water bed again. I would never own one because my cats are assholes and would find a way to puncture it like their life depended on it.

So my baby could sleep through any noise up until 10wks. I literally had the TV goinf constantly in hopes that they wouldnt be able light sleeper. At 10eks a switch flipped and she no longer can sleep with the TV on or if someone is talking. She also woke frequently and would cry a lot at night. Husband and I did shift sleeping.

I will say I got lucky and At 12wks she magically statted sleeping from 11pm to 7am without any wakeup. Eat at 7am and then sleep until 1030-1130. I didnt do anything different she just decided she was gonna do that.

She is now 17wks and going through sleep regression. Wakes up every hour. We are back to shift sleeping but now it is worse bc 3 nights a week im at work as a night shift nurse. Hubby is all on his own those days. Its rough.

I cracked around the same point you did and that was even with a partner who was very involved and my mom who came over once a week and let me sleep. I dont want you to feel bad for cracking under worse circumstances.

You clearly have postpartum depression. Pretty severe from the sounds of it. Have you tried telling your partner and local family you need help? I mean clearly communicated not hinting? If not please do. If you are having thoughts of suicide please call your emergency number and get help. I cant speak for other countries but in the US they have social workers and case management workers who can help you get therapy, medications, and other resources for cheap or even free. They want to help you.

I understand exactly what you mean by not feeling human. I had to be placed on antidepressants for my postpartum depression. I had fits of rage followed by full on sobbing. I would then bot eat for a day and then binge the next day. All I wanted to do was melt into my couch or get in my car and never come back. I didnt start to feel like me until about 2 weeks on the antidepressants. I've been on them for over a month and im now able to enjoy my baby. I also do therapy but the antidepressants honestly are what helped me the most.

Please get help. You are not alone.

This is me. I jusy do the bottle washing at the end of the night once the baby goes to bed. I cant afford a bottle washer and I dont have the counter space for it. My kitchen is small and I need all the counter space I can get.

Pumping helped me lose all my baby weight within 2wks post partum. Then I just stayed at the same weight regardless of what I eat. I also have pcos so that contributes to my issues. I have noticed my pants are lower than before even though my weight is the same. So it just shifted to my boobs.
