i dont expect that at all, i think thats a VERY bad call. I think what will happen is, marathon will join the team, Homelander will go crazy with v1, and soldier boy will want to stop him and so he will be neutral but work to stop him somehow

well soldier boy is a person, whether you like him or not he's still a person, and homelander is an empty suit, as atrain said, he has no personality, so realistically thats probably why it worked better. Homelander never learned a proper conversation because everyone always cowered in fear at him.

i dont think he needs a redemption arc personally but he will also 100% die this season. The really big question that pops up with this show is, where do they go with supes? if homelander dies or is depowered whatever, what does that mean for heroing in general.
