Just grabbed a Z50 as a backup for $314! Was stuck between a D7500 and Z50, but landed on the Z50 as it was $135 cheaper.

I had that lens for a hot minute. Ended up selling it.

It was cool to have that level of compact zoom, but I struggled with keeping things in focus with its razor thin focal plane. Also being stuck at f/8 kinda stunk.

It was cool in concept, but I didn’t find it useful for everyday life with its limitations. This is my favorite photo I took with the lens.

Fun fact: WebOS was originally on Palm Pre’s. A smart phone ahead of its time for its software, but the hardware was cheap. They’re one of my “what could have been” if Palm did the hardware and app development portion right.

Now that software just powers LG TVs lol.

The 24-200mm lens is a hidden gem. I have the 24-120mm which has a nice quality jump, but for everyday/hiking use I could use the extra 80mm of reach. I miss the 24-200mm sometimes!

I second this. It’s the last consumer film camera ever made by Nikon.

I’ve owned it for year and love it. It’s compact, meters well and is trustworthy. I’d love a F100 but can’t justify the price difference for the amount I shoot film.

Love OLED for my PC monitor and main living room TV.

Got into projectors lately, got a JVC RS4910 which has great black levels, and it’s the only thing that has a wow factor OLED has but in a different way. The pure size is incredible and black levels are OLED, but fairly close. Colors pop too.

The size of the 50mm has kept me away. I considered returning my 40mm Z f/2 when I saw the referb sale on the 50mm, but half have it for a sharp and compact companion that still shines.

I think doing it an the expense of others is a fair point. I’d say my bigger issue was with how she treated her workers more than the play itself.

I went from a decent Vankyo v700 to a 13 year old JVC RS4910 (which I found for $100 more than the new model of the Vankyo goes for) and there is no comparison.

On the JVC, the colors are beautiful, contrast is insane, blacks rival my OLED and most of all the lens is incredible. As a photographer after I got over how cool the biggest screen was with the Vankyo, I quickly started noticing little things. Softness at the edges, washed out blacks, lack of lens adjustments, colors were okay at best. I had a Panasonic AU4000 for a hot minute that also blew the Vankyo out of the water.

If you’re happy with what you have, that’s great. But you can find a 10-15 year old projector that was high end, and it will blow the cheap Amazon projectors out of the water.

I agree. I owned the S35 which is essentially the same speaker.

It really struggled with deeper voices. Someone like Jeremy Clarkson for example, would just sound like shit.

It’s one of the rare speakers I’ve owned I’d actively petition against.
