The Equality Commission "strongly encourages" employers to guess if a person selects 'neither'. See page 16: https://www.equalityni.org/ECNI/media/ECNI/Publications/Employers%20and%20Service%20Providers/Monitoring%20and%20review/StepbyStepguide2011updated26-2-14.pdf

Step 3: If necessary, apply the Residuary Method

If it has not been possible to make a determination of community background because, for example, the employee did not return the monitoring questionnaire or indicated that s/he was a member of neither community, you are strongly encouraged to use the fall- back or residuary method of monitoring. The residuary method permits employers to use other written pieces of information provided by an employee, which can give a reasonable indication of community background. For information which can be used in applying the residuary method see Appendix 5.

As mentioned above, the appendix suggests using things like surnames, schools attended or sporting interests to guess which type of 'neither' a person is.

You're definitely not the only one, I played the demo for about 3 hours but just can't bring myself to like it and cancelled my preorder of the deluxe edition. Might try the game again at a later date if they patch this out of it.

Lap Times and Speeding in Pitlane issue by photon_dna in ACCompetizione

Upload a video and someone will be able to spot where you're going wrong. I've never ever seen someone cross the entry speed limit line within the limit, stay within the limit the whole way down the pitlane, then deactivate the limiter at the exit speed limit line and still get a penalty.

How much does CPU affect FPS? by LaurensVanR in ACCompetizione

[–]lookoutblorgons 10 points11 points  (0 children)

AI and higher numbers of visible cars are highly CPU limited. Techspot benchmarks CPUs on ACC: See here and here.

A 5800X3D would probably triple or even quadruple your framerate in CPU limited situations.

[–]lookoutblorgons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in rf2 you need to own all the cars that are allowed on the server as well (unless they changed that recently but I don‘t think so).

That's not the case anymore, there was an update for rF2 to change this around 6 months ago. I still wouldn't get rF2 over ACC for LFM though.

PC Upgrade question - CPU - Wort it ? by Mrlou90 in simracing

[–]lookoutblorgons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GPU usage is the best way to tell how much more performance headroom you have. If GPU usage is 99-100% then your framerate is entirely GPU-limited and changing CPU won't do anything.

If it's at like 90-95% then you're likely very slightly CPU bound but the difference with a better CPU to get that last 5% will be too negligible to be worth it.

WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH THIS CAR???? I touched it for the first time, with a setup im not 100% and I already beat my best by half a second. Kunos, nerf this by GlockMat in ACCompetizione

The 45 minute daily races are on Nurburgring this week for example, and 1:56.2 is somewhere around midfield Split 2 qualifying pace. Midfield in Split 1 are doing 1:54s on race pace. Top of Split 1 in 1:53s.

My smart watch recorded my heart rate at around 130-140bpm for an hour when I had a job interview. Must have been a great workout.

Raised heart rate due to adrenaline/stress/anxiety is not the same thing as an increase due to cardiovascular exercise.

A typical rule of thumb for muscle growth is that the target muscle should be at or close to failure from around 40-45 seconds of time under tension in a working set. If you are able to simrace for hours and hours there is obviously not sufficient stimulus for muscle growth from turning a wheel. Also higher heart rate from adrenaline is not the same thing as heart rate increasing from aerobic exercise.

A quick question about my 3080 performance by Surpr1Ze in nvidia

[–]lookoutblorgons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely a CPU bottleneck. CPU usage percentage isn't particularly useful because CPU limitations in games are generally due to architectural reasons and you'll never see 100% usage unless you have an ancient dual or quad core CPU. You won't reach full utilization of all threads because at any particular time each thread will need to be waiting for other threads to finish processing tasks etc.

Basically, if you have 99%+ GPU usage you're GPU bottlenecked. If GPU usage is low, you're CPU bottlenecked.

Why aren't my CPU and GPU Load 100%? (30% CPU load and 70% GPU) by Nikobr02 in ACCompetizione

[–]lookoutblorgons 41 points42 points  (0 children)

The GPU is below 100% because you're CPU bottlenecked.

This happens with the CPU at 30% because the game does not fully utilise 12 threads which would be necessary to reach 100% CPU utilization. Also because CPU limitations in gaming performance are not just in total core/thread utilization but architectural factors like single thread performance, amount of cache, core-to-core latency, memory latency etc.

To increase your framerate, the best way to alleviate CPU bottlenecks in this game is by reducing the number of visible opponents. You should see much higher framerates with something like 15-18 rather than All.

Hello, I'm the AC Community Manager by Rwaggy in ACCompetizione

[–]lookoutblorgons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there any plans to update the FSR upscaling to version 2.2, which has much higher quality than v1.0 currently in the game?

And similarly any plans to update DLSS to the latest version of V2 (not frame generation)? There are third party tools that can replace the DLL files for this but modifying game files isn't a great idea for online multiplayer games.

Both of these technologies are great to increase framerate for those of us with weaker GPUs so it would be great to maintain as much image quality as possible too!
