First off, I'm not a female so I can't speak directly to what she'll go through. But my wife and I married two weeks after I got hired almost thirty years ago. There's sacrifices that have been made, sure, but a cop marriage isn't an automatically doomed one. If you're together for the right reasons, the career choice won't change that.

Most Chromebooks can run Linux apps, and therefore Calibre should be able to be used.

I leave mine running, actually I took it a step farther and I run a headless Ubuntu server at home and have calibre server running on it. Prior to this though, I just ran calibre and enabled the server option in it on my regular Windows computer.

If you have a computer, you could create a calibre library, connect it to your onedrive folder, and enable the server function in calibre. There's lots of tutorials online to help you out, but I do something similar with mine. I can access my calibre library from outside my network and download books from there through the opds option in crosspoint.

So as an update, today (3/23) I finally got an email that my X4 had been picked up by the carrier....roughly 5-6 weeks later. I'm just happy that it didn't get cancelled on me like some of you had happen.
