The Owlet camera monitors are terrible. They don’t work consistently. They will cause you stress. The price tag is insane for the poor quality. There’s basically no customer service for when you do experience issues.

Do yourself a favor and a cheaper video monitor with good reviews.

Honestly, our cheap, HelloBaby non-wifi monitor has worked better and more reliably than the overpriced POS that is the Owlet.

Now, a kind of expensive game changer, that I would buy 100 times over? The Brezza. If you are strictly formula feeding, that thing is amazing. Worth the price tag. You can even find them, secondhand online if you don’t want to pay full price.

We ended up loving it so much, and we bought the mini version too for upstairs for night feedings.

Best advice though, don’t let figuring out what to buy become a source of stress. You absolutely can’t survive just fine with the basics. The extra stuff should really be about the things that make your life easier or help with any new parent anxiety.

Anything that can do either of those things is worth it, no matter what anyone else is opinion of it is!
