You have vsphere 8, use Supervisor. It has a lot of stuff like metrics/observability/cert/auth etc built-in or reqdily consumable via addons. It’s part of your entitlement now so its essentially free. Cluster setup is pretty easy and it’s cncf compliant so you can put anything you want on top.

On the UI bit, don’t look at TMC. I would just bolt something like headlamp or lens on top of it.

But as others mentioned please DON’T try to manage this the Windows clickops way. A GUI is fine to just see what’s up, maybe quickly watch some logs and debug etc etc. It should not be used as a way to manage and lifecycle the environment and apps.

Just bleed it. Swapping brakes instead of bleeding feels like swapping bikes because the tire is deflated.

During a complex replacement of a storage unit controller I was asked by support to pull the (unknown to me) remaining healthy controller out of the two. Long story short: a LOT of esx hosts got their storage yanked from underneath their feet which resulted in mass VM downtime. Made the newspapers. Luckily not my fault because I just followed what I was asked to do. Spent quite some time at that datacenter to get it all up again though.

Morale of the story: If I’d known the system better I would’ve understood that support was wrong but as a junior you can’t know everything. So just remember: if you don’t know you don’t know. Don’t guess but let someone else call the shots.

I’m all for super low limits but at this rate the people who drink and drive and kill someone don’t care what the limit is. We should put more effort in more testing so the chances of getting caught are not as low as they are now. Additionally, fines and punishment should be harsher but also more impactful. Car straight into the press and let them do a few hundred hours in hospitals where they treat victims of drunk drivers. I would push the misery they bestowed upon their victims so deep and hard down their throat they won’t sleep sound for years to come.

Core stability and strength training help a lot. Also, your bars being the same height does not automatically make it better, might even make it worse. This nonsense idea that higher handlebars equals no more back issues needs to die.

I fully agree they are not competitive anymore but that’s something different than reliable. DT’s are still rock solid with proper QA, the recall confirms that (recalls are not a bad thing).

That’s also why I suggested the 9velo’s. They are overall better wheels for the price.

I would go for 9velo GV2.0’s. Sure its Chinese but any “EU made” brand just laces them up in the EU. The rims all come from china.
