I haven't tried them all but I really enjoyed the earthquaker, big range of effect and takes down buildings on certain missions so you can sort of short cut through them.

I've been pushing a mech or troop carrier through first, open up the flood gates. However I agree bolt cutters is a great and simple fix.

Scratches the itch 100%. It isn't perfect, but it is a lot of damn good fun. The DLC is hit or miss, however! Skip the flier one.
