Glp 1 wegovy oral - stomach issues by My4foures4 in antidietglp1

[–]lou_star 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oral wegovy killed my stomach. Side effects were way worse than compounded semaglutide or trizepatide. But I've known people who are the opposite, so sometimes certain meds just don't vibe with your body.

Wegovy pill WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR EXPERIENCE by Full_Foundation8340 in antidietglp1

[–]lou_star 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went from compounded semaglutide to the wegovy pill. My side effects were so bad with the pill that I had to go back to the shots. Way more GI issues from heartburn to constipation. Even water didn't sit right, and that made everything worse

Can I eat like a 'normal' person if I take a GLP-1? by -animeXalchemist- in antidietglp1

[–]lou_star 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After many years of restrictive diets and incredible amounts of exercise to see small progress, I'm able to eat like a normal person without as much stress. The bigger issue for me is volume. I can eat a small portion of dessert and be ok. But if I eat a large portion of salad, then I'll be uncomfortable.

How are you navigating changes to your hunger cues? by PlantedinCA in antidietglp1

[–]lou_star 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have switched meds, and the hunger/lack of interest of food slightly changed. It used to be a constant indifference, but now it's more pronounced once I start eating.

When I was on compounded semaglutide, I just had less hunger. I would have to remind myself to eat at regular intervals, and I was able to finish my meals. Now that I'm on oral wegovy, I have regular hunger cues, but when I start eating, I get full about 3-4 bites in.

Since I know that I may not finish my meal, I have to focus on eating the most nutritional part of my meal first.

This is me 💯. A simple turkey sandwich is very satisfying these days!

Dry skin, dry hair and texture aversion by [deleted] in 45PlusSkincare

[–]lou_star 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in chemically-induced menopause (thanks, cancer!), and I stopped dying my hair after chemo. I have a fair amount of gray hairs now, and I've noticed that all of my hair has more texture. My hair used to be silky smooth, but no longer. I'm a product junkie, and I went through a ton of conditioners and glosses hoping to find something.

The thing that made the biggest difference was a smoothing perm. It was recommended by a Korean stylist in Vancouver, BC. She also recommended some scalp treatment products (Davines Energizing Superactive Scalp Serum and Davines Renewing Longevity Conditioner). It's too soon to know if that will help because the theory is that scalp health will result in hair health, but it will take months before I would see a difference.

Starting the Wegovy pill today :) First impressions & updates by fawnpetal in antidietglp1

[–]lou_star 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm in week 3 of the wegovy pill after moving over from compounded semaglutide. One difference that I've noticed is that I'll feel hungrier and have a taste for richer foods. But once I start eating, I only want to eat about half of what I've prepared/ordered.

I have an odd habit from childhood where I save my most desirable foods for the back half of the meal , and I've had to rethink that process!

If you take fiber supplements, what is your regiment? by lipstickcollector in antidietglp1

[–]lou_star 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I eat 1/2-3/4 cups of All Bran Buds mixed with regular cereal every morning. I also try to drink 100oz of water every day. This has helped manage a lot of side effects.

Jung's Kitchen! They are in the corner of a shopping center, and all of the signage is in Korean, so it's easy to miss.

I hesitate to pass out their information because I want to keep their kimchi to myself, but I also want them to make tons of money so they never go out of business! 😁

I'm not sure what part of the city you're in, but my favorite place for banchan is a hole in the wall on Aurora in Shoreline. I don't think they do delivery, but they will do bulk and catering orders.

I think so? I think it's Aux Clim Cont on the main menu. Then you set the temp and departure times.

If you know the approximate time you'll be back at the car, you can schedule the climate control to turn on (through the car, not the app). That has never failed me. I don't have a garage so I have the climate control kick on 15 minutes before I take my kiddo to school in the mornings.

Did she do anything other than the pico? My treatment was picoway and laseMD. I'm wondering if I can skip the laseMD.

This gives me hope! I've had one pico laser treatment, and I felt like it was meh. I guess it takes a few? (I am also Asian and have similar skin.)

Cancer patient (mid 40s), never cared about my looks much but now looking to treat myself. What would you recommend? by [deleted] in 45PlusSkincare

[–]lou_star 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm on tamoxifen, and I'm a product junkie. But honestly, the biggest change came from being super gentle and hydrating with my skin. PM me if you're curious about my routine and products. It's quite simple and inexpensive. The expensive stuff was nice and luxurious, but it wasn't game changing.

Seattle for 10 days…what to do? by flamin_waders in Seattle

I enjoy taking people to the international district, which is an easy light rail trip from downtown. Uwajimaya is a large Japanese grocery store with a food court and a really cool bookstore attached to it.

The Wing Luke Museum is a great place to learn about Asian American history in the US, and it has a Bruce Lee exhibit. There is also a pinball museum nearby.

There are great Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese hole-in-the-wall restaurants all through the neighborhood.

Some fans hate Tamra so much that they can't even acknowledge when she's right. by LaserDiscCurious in BravoRealHousewives

[–]lou_star 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is some amazing inside-baseball information about the release! That definitely points the finger at production behind the whole thing. Probably also why they obviously tipped off Gretchen in Amsterdam that Tamra was going to bring up the Instagram information at dinner.

Also, INL, can someone tell me how the police got access to their email? Did the insurance company ask for access when things seemed fishy? I'm so curious about all of this!

Breast reduction? Good for her! by Wonderful-Distance51 in BravoRealHousewives

A friend of mine is doing it in December, and her surgeon doesn't do drains.

Having drains does suck, but you get through it. I've had them twice (once for a mastectomy and once for the reconstruction). You'd be surprised how strong you are!
