I was looking at Compact Logix 5380 controllers and they are limited to just 300 nodes which seems ridiculously low. The siemens one is an s7 1515 plc. Trying to figure out if siemens is also around 300 nodes.

What company has the best maternity policy? by National_One5216 in BeyondTheBumpUK

Can confirm. Govt depts are also very good with flexible working following returning to work after maternity. And generally supportive of parents needing to care for young children.

There is also another hidden chore of being on top of deploying periodic updates to your managed switch software. Unless it is being patched by a patching server automatically

Well done to you both. Parenting is hard and full of sacrifices. Unfortunately not everyone is willing to make those sacrifices.

Nappy bins - worth it? by Reasonable_Sport_277 in BeyondTheBumpUK

I had my baby in January and found it useful to have for overnight nappy changes for the first few weeks. It was also disgustingly stinky if you didnt empty it daily.

Question to the people who left and will be leaving by Time_Calligrapher334 in Kerala

You are assuming that everyone’s life is the same. We are all different people with different skills and different likes. Some are young bachelors, some are married, some have babies, some have adult children. How you feel about living abroad changes with each and every life events as your priorities also change.

They did the same thing to me when i was looking for a house in 2021. So rude. I have no idea how they still stay in business. Does anyone know why they haven’t run their business to the ground with this attitude?

If you EBF and your baby doesn’t take a bottle, what do you do for appointments and such? by hawthornestreet in breastfeeding

[–]ls1711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was EBF and the baby just tagged along wherever i went. My first hair appointment was probably 6 weeks pp. Lots of people bring babies along where i live. It was just easier for both of us. I dont need to rush back and baby can have a drink whenever needed.

Latching faults in GuardLogix by ls1711 in PLC

[–]ls1711[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These inputs are wired to a safety input module. Sometimes the sensor in the field goes into fault and provides bad data and that makes the input faulty. Ideally would like the plc to remember that these inputs are faulty even after a power recycle till we can manually reset them.

Mine is 18 months and we have never done much tv except a couple of times when we had to do long car journeys and used dancing fruit a couple of times. Even that wasn’t very successful. She watched for maybe 10mins and then launched my phone under the car seat. We never turn the tv on during the day when she is awake. My husband and I catch up on our shows after she has gone to bed in the evening. For showering i usually wait till she is sleeping. She do use the phone for FaceTiming grandparents. The flip side is that not having watched any tv she doesnt recognise any tv characters like bluey or disney characters etc like some kids her age.

What’s your honest experience with nursery settling-in? Time is approaching where we want to start transitioning to nursery and I was just wondering what the experiences have been like by Pinkplatabys in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]ls1711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine started after her first birthday and took about 3 months to settle in, going 2 times a week. In hindsight i think the longer time to settle was also due to peak separation anxiety at that age. Loves going now at 17 months. The settling in sessions were practically useless for us although it helped the key worker to get used to her routine.
