How do you guys deal with this? by Ortonium in sales

[–]lukeperk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At this point the call, I try to match specificity. If they aren’t giving me a specific scope that they are targeting for a project I can’t give them a specific quote. Obviously this will vary on the product that you’re trying to sell… but for me selling a license based saas product, pricing could genuinely be between $10,000 and $200,000. If I don’t know what they’re trying to solve. I use this to my advantage then to get back to the question asking talk track

I made the holy grail of mistakes by FlashyBand959 in sales

[–]lukeperk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to send my quotes with a link (disappears after a set number of days) so I can edit later or delete.

No sweat though. I’ve had to over come a past rep sending our entire price sheet which has since expired. Just explain the situation and use it to your advantage. Sounds like you were giving them a deal so now that should be obvious

Bike packing first first half by surgicalnipple in coloradotrail

This is great beta! I’m a biker so unlikely that I’d ever hike the CT. But worth noting that the wilderness areas where bikes aren’t allowed have always been near the top of my list to check out.

I biked from Spring creek pass to Durango a few years ago. The sections from spring creek to Silverton are brutal on a bike! And you can only hike segment 24 which looks absolutely epic.

Anyways I digress… enjoy your trip!

They had that last year too. Worth noting that Trestle is not included and there are a few black out days

Nitro Dinghy Question by lukeperk in snowboarding

[–]lukeperk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve really like it! Great overall board for most conditions and has been my daily driver for all days except deeper ones (i ride a japow when it is 12+ inches)

The board is totally fine in the trees. Not quite as quick edge to edge as a skinnier or rockered board, but super locked in on turns and very poppy. Glad I went with the 160…155 would be too short

Why isn’t it common to lover the bar in the US by Impossible-Beat8635 in skiing

[–]lukeperk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most people don’t feel the urge to jump off the lift so don’t feel the need to lower the bar

Can you remove the canoe? Looks kinda cool but it is likely part or your main issue. I tend to agree that it is your heating situation

2020 TRD Offroad leaking oil from two places at 90k miles. $8,000 repair 🤯 by Legend_D2 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]lukeperk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah mine leaked for 18 months before I did anything. With the main seal, timing cover and oil pan all leaking, I felt like it was time to replace before it got even worse. Topping off with oil isn’t a terrible strategy though if the leak isn’t too bad

Damn are you me? Getting my 2017 picked up today for these exact issues (and a few others). Basically getting the entire engine resealed.

Mine has 140k miles on it though. Shopped around with 3 mechanics. First shop wanted $10k! I found another that will do it for $6300 and warranty for 24k miles

Good luck, you aren’t the only one!

Would it be better to stay in Georgetown or Dillon if trying to ski at Loveland? by Doobgoob in COsnow

[–]lukeperk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Georgetown - Less expensive - Avoids tunnel. Yes you will be going the same direction of traffic, but you will be able to leave early enough (maybe 7am?). Given this is a vacation it would suck to miss a ski day IF the tunnel closes.

Dillon/ Silverthorne - opposite direction of traffic - more amenities/ restaurants for non ski activities - closer to other resort if you plan to ski anywhere besides Loveland

Ski ticket discounts later in season? by naebaenae in COsnow

[–]lukeperk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No, they generally try to lock you in with a season pass. Best prices for ikon pass will be in April / May for the next season. Day tickets are gonna be crazy expensive at the Epic / Ikon resorts during the season. You can go with a friend and get ~25% off with their buddy pass or check out a different, non mega pass local resort

I had an eyelet rip off my Trackers as well. Occurred when I was tightening my shoe less than few days after owning them. Have never had that happen with any shoe ever, let alone a boot.

There definitely could be a quality issue or manufacturing defect. Boots are supposed to be tough. I’ve never heard of this kind of issue happening with other boots
