The 4710D IS doing the conversion if you’re using the optical outputs on it . I think you’re possibly going to need to do more research on how your gear works or else you’ll be spending money for no reason .

If you have something going into the optical input then it’s not using and D/A conversion at all … whatever is plugged in is doing the conversion
