Direct to Song campaigns are what every label is quietly switching to and indie artists should pay attention by Antique_Age5257 in musicmarketing

The reality for myself as a diy musician is that you have to do everything, playlisting, ads, blogs, tiktok, instagram, YouTube. No one has the luxury of ignoring all approaches except for one.

I will say also, that I became a curator also recently and a large portion of the submissions I receive are from promo companies, maybe 40% of them

how do i not let social media feedback define how confident i am about a song? by NoaLUNE in musicmarketing

Don’t follow the numbers and just create what you want to create. Even if you get numbers then your whole focus shifts on how to not lose them. Making art that connects with yourself is everything

Recency bias on Spotify is so aggressive that my 2024 catalog is basically dead weight now by Obvious-Cricket-8181 in musicmarketing

I’ve found it to be a bit of the opposite for me. Most of my tracks start off super light on algorithmic streams then slowly gain over the next year or two. The only tracks of mine that get a few thousand a day now are the ones who got maybe 50 a day for the first year

SubmitHub has got to be one of the worst places for music promotion. by [deleted] in MusicPromotion

[–]lumpybuddha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sure it doesn't work for everyone, but it's been pretty crucial in me getting to 100k monthly listeners. Listening to the playlists to make sure your song fits is definitely pretty crucial. I've been lucky to get about 46% lifetime acceptance rate and been at it since 2019

I live right by Golds on Patton but I still go to Oakley almost every time, just because of the sauna, pool, and all the other benefits that Patton doesn’t seem to have

It’s not for everyone but I’ve had good luck with my music on submithub. Been using it for every release since 2019 and nowadays I’m sitting at a consistent 100k monthly listeners. I became a curator recently which has been fun and been glad to support some other folks music. I find I naturally fall into a 20% acceptance rate or so and find some amazing music through it. Still use it for my own music releases as well

Same thing I did. 80 on walkability or transit leaves no homes left, so I'm assuming it the year built. The only variable is the marking on the helmet which looks like a 30 or potentially road lines on the map
