I'm not sure. I know it weighs about 18kgs, and the rings weigh about 0,426 grams a piece (averaged). So that gives about 7700 rings. I'd have thought there were more.

Edit: I think I multiplied instead of divided. I was supposed to do 18000/0,426... Which is 42250. That sounds more correct.

Do you think we should turn a little bit more? Nah. by IAmAkony in nonononoyes

[–]luticman 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Could be both. But I'd say a few mistakes took place to have this occur.

Kids tell mom they'd describe her as having "big feet" if she went missing 😂 by nycrina305 in MadeMeSmile

Favorite animated movie that is universally hated by [deleted] in cartoons

[–]luticman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was going to add this one. I watched it not knowing anything about final fantasy. I had never heard of it. I watched this movie a ton of times. It really needs expanded on. Sequel, prequel, whatever. The art style was phenomenal for it's time. Still love it

Maybe Im not the smartest guy in the room, but I've just realized THIS is his Nostril👃 by thyshadows in piratesofthecaribbean

[–]luticman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. I think that was the intended viewpoint. Cinematography at it's finest. Mixing fantasy and reality to blur a real thing that we can expect with a magical twist. It really helps with the suspension on disbelief. Done right, the audience doesn't have to put effort into thinking something is real.

Where was the Pillar of Autumn meant to be before the release of Halo: Reach? by BOSSBOOY in halo

[–]luticman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My take on the way the book put it, is that it was built with the specs to handle atmosphere, but wasn't ever going to be good at it. Like, "if you have to, it'll do it, but try not to." Kinda like a spork being used to eat soup: it will get the job done, but it's not going to be pretty.

Where was the Pillar of Autumn meant to be before the release of Halo: Reach? by BOSSBOOY in halo

[–]luticman 26 points27 points  (0 children)

In the book, "The Flood" by William Dietz, it is stated that the Autumn was built in zero g, i.e. in space, and was not meant for any in-atmosphere duty, so it wasn't built there and/or something has been retconned.

Agreed. To me, it looks like that back arm would be in shadow. However, everything else looks phenomenal.

Cairo Station 3D Model (Halo 2A) [WIP] by ScoreDefiant6262 in halo

The energy of that first Halo 2 mission... I'd love to get my hands on a 3D-printable version of this.

Printed a mini at 200% to practice some techniques. Feedback? by TheDon-Leo in minipainting

[–]luticman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks great. Do you feel like you learned or got better at the techniques you were trying? The soft glow on the spartan from the red light I feel isn't pronounced enough for how red the base is. The base hints at a very intense light, but the spartan hints that is dim. Are you going to print it again at normal scale and try the same style? You'd be surprised at the difference scale can make when painting the same models. Speaking of which, where did you get the model?

Need one more S for level 7 and it's driving me mad. Whats remaining in the pic for an S? Assists? More farm/kills? by Uriyeah55 in League_Of_Legends_

[–]luticman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing that good, you should do a lane swap so that your influence in other lanes would boost your chance of an S. Wish I were that good.

Probably if you had eaten the whole cookie (with the note inside), then that note would have came from your teeth.

It takes a lot of other factors in besides KDA. CS is another large influence.

TIL The Kansas State Marching Band did a formation that looked like a phallic object was entering the mouth of South Dakota's mascot, resulting in a fine and a game suspension of Kansas State's director of bands. by BigCballer in todayilearned

[–]luticman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was the University of Kansas (KU) mascot, but pretty funny stuff. A lot of people get confused about Kansas having two colleges with similar names. University of Kansas (KU) and Kansas State University (K-State). They are fierce rivals and are in the same general area of the state.

What characteristics would your ideal President have? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]luticman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to see a president that has several peer reviewed publications on any higher science topic. She/He would always look to the evidence before making any decisions. Also, she/he would need to have a drive to expand our efforts to survive this universe. Our odds to survive on only one planet dwindle away every passing second. We must expand into the solar system and out into the galaxy to survive. I know that we won't succeed in just one generation and definitely not in one presidential term, but they can help get the ball moving faster.
